Wanda didn't doubt that she would be fine, having taken so long to realise that Agatha was her safe space, it almost felt silly in retrospect to be worried of anything while she stayed with the older witch.
And yet it was still sweet to hear the woman offer words of comfort, regardless of whether the redhead needed them or not.
"I'll bear that in mind, but it's unlikely I'll be running off anytime soon. You're not that bad company." Perhaps it was a deflection, a well-timed tease that would have had a backtrack of laughter in her sitcom fantasy; a way of avoiding the fact that she wasn't staying just because she could, but because there was a trickle of fear beneath her skin, of ever leaving this safe haven.
The innocent, almost ordinary kiss had the young witch warm from just how easy it was to play twisted house with Agatha; how right it felt and how enticing it was to commit to her new scenario. She wanted to- and Wanda knew if and when she did, it would be beautiful, just like her dreams.
"What about indoors? Can I explore in here?" She asked as she tightened her ponytail. Agatha had confessed to proudly owning several dangerous, magical artifacts and Wanda didn't want to stick her nose where it didn't belong, but there were places she wanted to go.
If that's what it takes to be happy.
Spoilers for MoM
@agxthahxrkness
A thick cloud of debris and dust formed around the Scarlet witch, the chaotic fog only thing to trespass through the fragile barricade that shielded her from the destruction above. Power crackled from Wanda's body, although it was weak and broken, nothing like the display the Darkhold had given her.
Reaching out unsteadily, her fingers slick with blood, she anchored a solid grip on a large stone and pulled herself across the ground out of the way of the fallen boulders that threatened to crush her. The redhead let loose a quiet hiss of pain, not ready to assess the damage as she struggled against the rubble.
It happened too quickly, the moment that she was in the clear Wanda rolled onto her back, a wretched cough tearing through her lungs. The magic shield snapped and an accumulation of boulders cascaded down to the ground where she had been just a moment ago.
Both pain and exhaustion gripped her body, and Wanda closed her eyes for just a moment before she succumbed, not even having the strength to stay awake.
At least, in her dreams, she might see her boys one last time.
Wanda felt her heart flutter as she paused in the doorway, stealing a serendipitous moment just to ingrain the scene into her memory. Agatha sat at the head of the table facing away ans engrossed in a book that she couldn't fully see.
"What's that?" The redhead played enigmatically, stepping behind the taller woman and combed her fingers through thick, dark curls.
Agatha didnt even look up, but she knew the teasing smirk that pulled at her lips. "Its a book, darling."
She felt the woman suppress a shudder beneath her touch as her hands moved sweetly down her shoulders and the redhead feigned innocence, "Is the book more interesting than I am?"
They were used to this game apparently, because at this, Agatha titled her head slightly to grin devilishly up at the younger witch.
"Are you honestly trying to compete against Jane Austen for my attention?" The accusation was dripping with sweet smugness that always had Wanda just a little bit weak.
But two could play at that game and so she bent forward until they shared an intimate breath and Wanda could have just grazed the other lips had she moved that tiny bit closer. "That depends, is it working?".
Wanda awoke with a peculiar sensation squeezing tight around her heart. In that blissful moment in between realities, she swore she could just about feel the warmth of Harkness' lips on her own.
But like all good dreams, they faded away, leaving behind an empty void that she didnt know how to fill. Her heart yearned as she sat up among the chaos, ignoring the pain the shot through her body.
This had not been the first window into an alternate world in which she was loved by the dark witch and every time, they had always seemed so happy.
Wanda had no set destination as she conjured all her energy into teleporting, blinking through space. She would end up somewhere safe, if such a place existed.
She appeared in the middle of the road in an ungodly state, leaning her weight on the one leg that could bare it, bloodied and crushed more than just literally. The familiar street ironically welcomed her return to Westview and Wanda found it fitting that if the Scarlet witch could be born in this town she could die here too. Yet what confused her most was that this was her safe space.
The transportation spell had exhausted what felt like the very last of her power and Wanda nearly buckled feeling the magic seep from her veins.
It felt unnecessarily cruel to go crawling back, beaten and powerless, all in the hopes of figuring out if happiness was still possible in this reality.

&. 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝, 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.
(  you  know  that  dynamic  of  the  emotionally  closed  off  one  &  the  kind  one  they  have  a  soft  spot  for?  yeah,  that’s  the  vibe.  )
said from the lone wolf.
❛ you think you know me, but the truth is, you don’t. ❜
❛ going home isn’t an option anymore. ❜
❛ i’m fine. there’s nothing for you to worry about. ❜
❛ do you wish i was different? ❜
❛ i just, i don’t want anything bad to happen to you. ❜
❛ you deserve better than what you’ve got. ❜
❛ i guess we both lost something we were fond of. ❜
❛ i’m not leaving you out here alone. ❜
❛ you don’t have to keep me company, i’m fine by myself. ❜
❛ coming here to see you is the only place i could go. ❜
❛ i’m afraid of losing you, okay? ❜
❛ i know you probably hate me right now, and i get it. ❜
❛ what is with your weird fascination with me? ❜
❛ yeah, you keep on telling yourself that bullshit. ❜
❛ i didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, i just have a lot on my plate. ❜
❛ you’re lucky you got away with only a scratch. ❜
❛ if i could be a different person, i promise you, i would be. ❜
❛ people like us don’t get to decide when we’re done. ❜
❛ i’ve never had anything good happen to me when i trusted others. ❜
❛ you won’t survive out there. they tear all good things apart. ❜
❛ i don’t know what’s the truth or what’s a lie anymore. ❜
❛ you got guts, i’ll give you that. ❜
❛ the more you know, the shorter your life will be. ❜
❛ for the first time in years, i felt something that i thought had been lost to me. ❜
❛ what you think you’re going through is nothing to what i have been through. ❜
said from the soft spot.
❛ you’re not as bad as everyone says you are. ❜
❛ how is it that you’re never scared? ❜
❛ you think i’m weak because i’m not like you. ❜
❛ you wanted to be left alone, right? ❜
❛ how do you make the pain go away? ❜
❛ you shouldn’t smoke, you know. ❜
❛ destroy what is destroying you. ❜
❛ i hope you find the peace you’re searching for. ❜
❛ you know my door is always open to you. ❜
❛ i look at you and my heart breaks because all i see is loneliness. ❜
❛ you’re avoiding the subject and you know it. what are you hiding from me? ❜
❛ you’re not at war anymore, you can come home. ❜
❛ it feels like you’ve been avoiding me. ❜
❛ what are you so afraid of? ❜
❛ you shouldn’t be out here by yourself. ❜
❛ why do you care? you could have just walked away. ❜
❛ i know you. how else do you think i found you so easily? ❜
❛ if it was the other way around, would you have come back for me? ❜
❛ i just thought you’d like some company. ❜
❛ are you jealous? want me all to yourself, do you? ❜
❛ i knew you had a heart. ❜
❛ can you look at me? please? ❜
❛ i don’t think i’ve ever seen you smile. ❜
❛ if you won’t take care of yourself, then who will? ❜
❛ you have something beautiful inside of you. it’s hard for some people to tell, but it’s there. ❜

The invasive thought was tempting, no matter how spineless it seemed, to just run; to reaxha corner of the world that didnt know of Wanda Maximoff or the Scarlet Witch; to start again under a guise of normality...
But hadn't she tried that once in New Jersey? People like her didn't get fresh starts.
"Okay," the redhead finally agreed, jutting out her lower lip which then tugged into a grin as her arms folded across her chest, even if she wasn't thrilled that she'd be studying glamour having just convinced the dark witch to relinquish her own.
Wanda had barely relaxed a second before she pushed herself up and rendezvoused back to the table, lingering against Agatha's chair, digits just coming to trail the womans shoulder. "But for the record I did quite well in school." Not that she'd had much of an education between situations. The young witch pursued her own lips with a teasing thought and a shrug. "So long as you don't give me homework, we should be able to continue to get along,"
The laugh that came from the redhead was a familiar one, one that came from a place of comfort and serenity. She would pour through every book,  document every page so long as she could still fall asleep in Agatha's arms at the end of the day.
If that's what it takes to be happy.

A hum descended the young witches lips at the thought. "Exactly what level of basics are we talking, Ags? Basics for the modern age person is numbers, basics for three century old witches are what? Levitation? Divination?" She teased with a grin of her own.
Wanda collected their plates, depositing them in the sink as she forced herself to take an over-zealous breath whilst her gaze pointed out the window. The redhead didnt know what she wanted. If Agatha trained her like a child it would be insulting, but Wanda didn't want to leap hurdles and fall flat on her face. Torn between the need to learn and impress...
Not to mention, while she may need a teacher, what she wanted was so much more than that. Maximoff thought of it more like a sideline, despite the fact that her very power hung in the balance.
"How long did you stay out of the limelight after you had made a scene?" Wanda asked almost abruptly, turning as her hands gripped at the sink behind her. "How long do I wait before going back into the world?" Not that she was impatient, but she couldn't help but visit a dream of her own making, of going out with Agatha, out like people normally did when they liked someone.
She didn't want her story to follow the plot of tortured orphan, sister, mutant, avenger, widow...
What she wanted above all, above control, above power, was something normal, with Agatha.
If that's what it takes to be happy.

"Come on, little duckie. Cuddle in tight. We will keep the sadness away together," she signed pulling her son into the space beside her. He would never be too old. In fact she was more worried about the times ahead when he no longer wanted to turn to her for comfort.
"Why are you feeling so low?" She asked before pressing a worried kiss to his forehead. "School? People?"
He tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention.
“Mom?” He signed. “I don’t feel good. I feel anxious.”
@arandomnerdsrp358
Wanda turned instantly, alerted by the familiar touch, her gaze instantly drawn to her sons hands.
"Honey, what's wrong?" She frowned softly, signing in response. "What's going on in your head, hmm?"
