so the occurrence that almost every woman was sexually harrassed by a man at some point in her life is just a cluster of a few individual experiences that you cannot formulate any general conclusions based on BUT a few reddit porn addicted losers not having a girlfriend assigned to them as soon as they're born or being rejected by three girls in middle school is a world scale epidemic that gets its own name, psychologists and media and useless video essayists devoted to finding out what its causes are and to figuring out how to solve it, and every woman is now responsible for solving it. i love living in this world i am totally not chewing on my arm right now!

One of the things that makes arguing with men so much more draining than arguing with women is the unequal distribution of credibility and contribution.
Somehow, whenever I argue with men, it always falls upon me to both prove my own claims, and to disprove his, while he does neither; his only obligation seemingly to dole out whatever ungrounded assertions he conjures up on the spot. Somehow, it is always wordlessly established that anything I say is false until proven true, while anything he says is true until proven false.
This same dynamic happened again over on tiktok, when a man claimed women are just as violent as men. Automatically, almost as if by muscle memory, I offered up the usual statistics on male depravity: men constituting 99% of rapists, 99% of mass shooters, 98% of killers, 95% of serious domestic abusers. And his only response was to say those statistics were wrong. No elaboration; wrong simply because he said so.
I already knew how the entire conversation would pan out: I’d give him my source, he’d find a reason to discredit the source, then I’d scour the internet to find a source that suited his standards, which he’d inevitably find a reason to discredit too.
So instead I simply said, “Prove the statistics are wrong.” And that was the only thing I responded with henceforth: prove it, prove I’m wrong, prove you’re right. Thus reversing the dynamics and positing that anything I said was true unless he demonstrated otherwise; unduly putting all the onus on him while I did nothing other than decide whether he was convincing me of claims thoroughly enough—and if he wasn’t, it just meant I was winning, of course.
He blocked me, and so far so have all the other men I’ve used this approach on. I don’t know whether it’s because they couldn’t actually disprove my claims or because they couldn’t stand to be treated the same way they treat women in debates. But I think more women should do this. Stop wasting energy proving your points to men, and start making them prove theirs to you.

Simply go on pornhub and automatically you'll see ads for videos like "Father fucks daughter" or "Fucking my step daughter" or ads with a teenage-looking girl with pigtails carrying a teddy bear saying "please fuck me daddy" now before some people say "those ads are based on recent history", I'm a lesbian. I have only watched SOME lesbian porn before realizing how it was made for a man's pleasure and how porn is bad
Yeah, women are infantalized regularly, but people within daddy kink pretend that they are just harmlessly playing a silly game.
This is not a game.
Children are inevitably sexualized when ‘teen’ is the most popular genre of porn out there. Even if the actresses are 18 or 19, I highly fucking doubt that men aren’t imagining her younger in a broad category like that. Daddy kinks are not an isolated incident - they contribute to a pedophilic, and all round misogynistic culture. What you do in your private life does affect the public. Individual choices do impact the outcome of society. ‘Pretending’ to fuck a child is still disgusting, and it is not just a ‘fantasy’ alternate dimension. It does reflect you as a person. I'm going to sound very old and very tired here for a second, but iIt is so dystopian to me to have ads on my computer.
Ads used to be on the internet. And that's that. The things that were installed on my computer did not show me ads.
And that goes even beyond the questionable practice that free versions of programs such as Avira now show you lil ads in the corner of your screen like once a day.
You used to have free games on your computer.
I was in the mood to play a game again, a very rare mood for me, and I opened the game center for the... first time since I had this version of Windows (as I said; very rare mood).
And there's ads. You play the "free" games that live on your computer and there are ads left and right and beneath it and between levels there is just a 20 second ad break.
You can go premium to no longer have ads.
That's dystopian to me.
When things that used to be fully free and just part of something are now riddled with ads and to get the ad free experience that, again, used to just be the experience, you have to pay.
And it's not even a one-time-payment.
Back in the day, you used to pay for something and then you owned it. You used to pay for a program or a game, and you owned a physical CD that you put in your computer to install the thing and it was just yours. It belonged to you, because you paid for it.
Now everything is a per month subscription, which is just so sinister because many look like oh, that's not that much money! Sure, I'll pay 1,99€/month to play games ad free. Every single month sums up, and it sums to a lot over the years though, for something that used to be free. (And I've complained about subscriptions before, in the context of Adobe, which isn't just dystopian anymore, it's actually plain evil to demand 25,99€/month to use a singular program, that you can now no longer buy to actually own.)
And I know - I know - you can find free games online to download or play in browser (already did that for mahjong) - but I'm talking about the principle here. The principle of getting ads on your computer, directly, and to have to pay to no longer have ads and use something that had been a part of the Windows experience since... forever.

I ask TRA ‘feminists’ what their ideal world looks like. Do we keep plastic surgery? Do we keep the idea of socialised gender? Because I can guarantee the contradictions of TRA and feminism would be clear.

But wow this response.
Having gender dysphoria as a male is not being victim to patriarchy. It’s patriarchy that:
- enforces a socialised gender binary
- allows males to identify as whatever gender they please, including infiltrating female safe spaces
I do agree that gender dysphoria starts in childhood for some. And I have no issue with men presenting in ‘feminine’ ways. The problem is when you label femininity as womanhood.
This was the basis of my original post, being a woman is not an identity, feeling, or something you change to.
Female oppression is something no one wants. No woman identifies with socialised femininity because it is oppressive and created by patriarchy. It’s VERY telling that those who do identify with socialised femininity are ones who have lived lives where patriarchy is designed to benefit you.
