It still felt like there was water in his lungs. No matter how much Robin tried to cough it out or shake the feeling, it still clung to him as if he hadn’t even resurfaced in the sewer. A shudder wracked his body as he carefully scaled slippery ledges and bits of metallic roofing. It was freezing, and he was drenched. Raindrops slid down his face and knocked hollowly against his guitar on his back. He prayed the strap was still strong enough to keep it tethered to him. Stopping wasn’t an option. He just had to get away. Eventually, he reached the top, and flopped uselessly onto the metallic surface. Heaving for breath felt like sucking in even more water, and he whimpered pitifully. Shivering, he slowly heaved himself to his feet, bracing against a wall for support. How the hell was he supposed to get out of here? He had no idea where he was going. With a small cough, he looked up, and his breath caught. He wasn’t ready for what he saw. The tower loomed impossibly high, casting its shadow over everything in sight. Looking at it made his bones buzz, but he couldn’t seem to look away. His heart hammered in his chest. He knew what it was. That same electrocuting static feeling that crept down his spine when he’d been near the tv at home. This was it. This was the source of it all. This was what took them away from him. He HAD to get out of here.

Modern fandom went awry when people stopped learning how to avoid content that upsets them and instead starting actively seeking it out.
I mean this in the kindest, most loving way possible, but babes you'll be so much happy when you stop focusing on what other people are doing and instead focus on what you like.
You'll never be able to stop people from liking what you hate, and the best way you'll find any peace of mind is properly utilizing blocking, blacklisting, and muting tools. Take it from someone who used to run a shipping discourse blog, fandom is supposed to be what you enjoy, stop focusing on things that upset you.

Hi I’m SO bad at tumblr so I hope I’m doing this right, but yes, it is from an au I’m working on! I haven’t shared anything about it on tumblr yet, but I?? Guess I should???
Basic summary of the au I guess (I’ll elaborate more in depth if more people seem interested I guess??), pretty much Hattie’s species is a time-based race called Chronians, and they all have some level of time-controlling power. This is basically because the dust inside time pieces is a naturally occurring essence on their home planet (called Chronia), and that essence is also a part of every living thing on the planet.
Their entire society basically revolves around time, and they are sworn to protecting all time essence they can possibly find. A high-ranking occupation is actually called “salvaging”, in which Chronians will travel off-planet to gather naturally occurring time essence wherever it is sensed in other parts of the universe. Two specific salvagers, named Lanre and Horo, end up having an unplanned child named Mirai. This, in the future, turns out to be Hattie.
She lives a fairly basic life on Chronia in a house on the outskirts of the capital city, although most of her early childhood is spent alone while her parents are off on missions for months on end (they never pay much attention to her while they’re home anyway). Once she starts school, she discovers she doesn’t quite fit in with everyone else, but one girl, nicknamed Bow, end up taking a liking to her despite that, and she becomes Mirai’s only friend at school.
Without going into too much detail here, one of the main reasons Mirai ends up feeling isolated from her classmates is related to her time powers. While everyone else is steadily making progress learning their powers, Mirai makes no progress at all. Isolated and constantly rejected, she yearns to successfully do ANYTHING that will result in her peers or her parents giving her affirmation of any kind. As the final test for primary school graduation nears and she still hasn’t even activated her powers a single time, she falls further and further into despair.
This au stretches all the way through her early childhood to her adulthood much later on, and I have nearly all of it planned, I just have yet to write it. It will include the events of the game itself once she leaves Chronia, and even past that, once she’s a young adult. I’m planning on doing a lot for it, and I have a TON of worldbuilding I could share, I guess it just depends on how many people actually are interested lol
Thanks so much for the support even though I’m bad at posting here, I’ll try to be more active, and to actually learn how tumblr works lmao-
“I should post more” I say as I proceed to not post anything for months
Yep I’m alive and I consistently forget tumblr exists, hello everyone that happens to see my posts lmao
Here’s one batch of some slightly older stuff, I’ll put up another too

A remake of my first Hollow Knight digital piece!! I wanted to redraw it to see how much I’d changed and improved, and I really like how the new one came out. It was sort of a lighting experiment, to be completely honest, but I’m really happy with it. I think the mood of the scene is finally captured correctly.
Anyway, enjoy Ghost saving Quirrel from drowning in the Blue Lake. It’s a scene from the AU I’m working on with my friend, and I’m hoping to get this part FINALLY written in the near future. Follow me on AO3 if you want to stay updated with it! https://archiveofourown.org/users/StellaHope/works
He’ll be okay, don’t worry :)
