the way felix is convinced he's living in a romance movie to the extent that he dresses up like juliet. he considers kissing oliver in the maze. he makes himself off limits but not quite with the open door while he's in the bath; he's the damsel of the film, no doubt. but felix's tragedy is that oliver is convinced it's a horror story and a tale of revenge. so he doesn't play his part as romeo. he vomits up the poison so he can't die from "some poison more" and leaves felix to die alone.

sorry for my absence friends!
i have to say that as a member of wga and the strike dragging on, my enthusiasm for ST is a little bit curbed at the moment :-( i love this show but it's difficult to participate in movie/film fandom when my career and livelihood are quite literally ruined by the current state of affairs. i'm also very new to this career and something like this happening when i barely qualify as a member is really making me reconsider if i even want to continue on in this field.
i might rebrand the blog a bit and start participating in book fandom more idk. or just return when the strike ends, whenever that is

dont get me wrong im not anti fanon!! i love fanon and i think it is such a critically important part of engaging in fandom and building a community. but we have to be fucking cool about it we have to know the difference between a “theory,” a “headcanon,” and fanon we have to really really be aware of which parts of fanon are potentially problematic (for lack of a better word)
