anonymissexpress:
America has begun to censor the Internet. Defying conventional scholarly wisdom that Supreme Court precedent bars Internet censorship, federal and state governments are increasingly using indirect methods to engage in “soft” blocking of on-line material. This Article assesses these methods and makes a controversial claim: hard censorship, such as the PROTECT IP Act, is normatively preferable to indirect restrictions. It introduces a taxonomy of five censorship strategies: direct control, deputizing intermediaries, payment, pretext, and persuasion. It next makes three core claims. First, only one strategy - deputizing intermediaries - is limited significantly by current law. Government retains considerable freedom of action to employ the other methods, and has begun to do so. Second, the Article employs a process-based methodology to argue that indirect censorship strategies are less legitimate than direct regulation. Lastly, it proposes using specialized legislation if the U.S. decides to conduct Internet censorship, and sets out key components that a statute must include to be legitimate, with the goal of aligning censorship with prior restraint doctrine. It concludes by assessing how soft Internet censorship affects current scholarly debates over the state’s role in shaping information on-line, sounding a skeptical note about government’s potential to balance communication.

Catching up
It is inevitable that at some point in time i would lose track. fall of the rails, wander off into the wilderness. and with i joy i might add.
you see, i have been finding that the road most traveled is just that. its already been seen, its already been mapped out and discovered. dont get me wrong i see value, massive value from taking others lessons and learning from them and accelerating my own thoughts and learning curves.
however, i love discovering on my own. i love going out and trying new things and seeing it with my own eye`s. i do this mainly with social circles. i love meeting new people, hearing their stories their hardships and triumphs. it can be inspirational and therapeutic. threw those connects i believe lies the key to knowing that your not alone and that the phase against all odds`is actually a possibility!
its the spark of life in someones eyes when they tell you about love, that smile that comes across their face when they recant their successes. the small sliver of a silver tear welling up when they travel back to dark days of loss and desperation. a true image of a humans soul. its a beautiful masterpiece, each one so similar yet completely different every brush stroke defined by our experiences and how we reacted to them.
at the end of my life i want my life to be a canvass that will inspire others to even greater heights something that even God will smile at.
unfortunately i have found that those things are not found on the path most traveled. in all honesty i have only seen it when i am far off the beaten path in a dark jungle area were the trees are so thick that not even the incessant assault from the sun has yielded no respite for the dark forest floor. or on the top of a mountain that would take a couple days of walking for you to be capable of saying hello to another wandering soul.
only in these far away places, when all the feeding frenzy of tv, media , drama, war, greed and the rat race cant reach your tired and battered soul. only then will the walls come down and the human spirit show its face.
i have seen the face of God, i have seen it in every suffering child, abused women, and injured men. its the look of compassion the look of pure love and the need and desire for it.
i am slowly starting to understand that everything comes down to an equal or agreed on exchange of value. every relationship has an exchange of value either positive or negative. how valuable that relationship is to you is in direct correlation to how much value it is bringing to you.
now the flip side is that even your best relationships have limits. the limitation is how much value you are giving them. if you are both giving lets say a value of 80 to each other then by law you have limited the other person to 80. becouse if they give beyond that then you are now taking value... unless you step up and match it.
now if we go off the commandment, due unto others as you wish to be done to you, then we have to assume the law that we give value freely and expect nothing in return.
with those rules established then the key for expanding any relationship you have is to give more value. looking back that our relationship were we are both sharing 80 if i were to starting giving 110 then now i have opened up space for them to give me 30 more value so they can be at 110 as well.
with out me first giving more value how could i ever expect to get more from others first?
as i see it we have distorted the exchange of value so greatly that we where forced to create a court system to dictate fairness. of we had been capable of teaching our kids the proper exchange of value we would never have need for such an over bearing and dictating structure.
give value freely and expect nothing in return, the universe will find a way to bless you in return.
open space in the universe for you to receive more value by giving more value.

Desperation in d minor
I am so tired of your disbelief that pulls on my soul, these limitations that chain me down. the fear that drowns me! all this hate that attacks my hopes, lighting my dreams a blaze!the roar of such a fire echo's threw all eternity until all that is left are ashes. ashes that have fallen threw my fingers and are carried away ever so gently by the wind. oh when will the God smile on me and shatter this prison of darkness. how long until i can spread my own wings and fly on the very wind that caries my dreams. How long until i soar over the Lords creations, till i feel the warmth of the sun on my face and gaze in wonder as i see beautiful rays of light burst into kaleidoscopes as they hit the oceans waves? how long until i can stare in amazement at the stars and know that there are no limitations to my ability... how long until i escape my own doubt. how long until i free myself from my own prison. how long until i see the outstretched hand of god begging me to let him help. how long until we wake up from this torturous reality and live our dreams.

what is your reality? do you know? or were you told?
"The loss of quality that is so evident at every level of spectacular language, from the objects it glorifies to the behavior it regulates, stems from the basic nature of a production system that shuns reality. The commodity form reduces everything to quantitative equivalence. The quantitative is what it develops, and it can develop only within the quantitative." — Guy Debord (The Society of the Spectacle). Context: Mass media and commodity fetishism The Society of the Spectacle is a critique of contemporary consumer culture and commodity fetishism. Before the term ‘globalization’ was popularized, Debord was arguing about issues such as class alienation, cultural homogenization, and the mass media. When Debord says that, “All that was once directly lived has become mere representation,” he is referring to the central importance of the image in contemporary society. Images, Debord says, have supplanted genuine human interaction.[1] Thus, Debord’s fourth thesis is "The spectacle is not a collection of images; rather, it is a social relationship between people that is mediated by images."[23] Key point: **In a consumer society, social life is not about living but about having; the spectacle uses the image to convey what people need and must have. Consequently, social life moves further, leaving a state of 'having' and proceeding into a state of 'appearing;' namely the appearance of the image.[24]** "In a world which really is topsy-turvy, the true is a moment of the false." Thesis 9. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Society_of_the_Spectacle)

why pop culture and keeping up with the jones's is our medication
don't ever slip into ignorance or even worse be so mentally complacent to forget the truth. we live in hard times, this is still a police state, you are only allowed to prosper within the limitations of your environment, we spend more money on reprimanding non violent crimes then catching criminals. the institutions know their target market and how to best "capture" their business. middle income families are their cash crops. if you don't understand this then please i beg you open your eyes, see injustice and fight it.
the majority of us have just numbed our tolerance with the constant dribbling poisin that is entertainment, and when that doesnt work we smoke up or sleep around, we put so much effort into no having to deal with the truth.
which is this.
there are things that are wrong in our world, crime, hate, poverty, opression and so on. yet we turn our heads away and look for the newer shiner false reality. you yes you the person that is reading this, you have the ability to read write communicate earn an income leverage your assets gain credibility on run the rat race our you could find out what you beleive in and fight for it. dont ever believe the lies they preach. you are more powerfull than you could imagine. your voice will make a difference. a shout in the night fades quickly but a man that stands on his beliefs and speaks against it, that mans voice can ripple threw history, it can start a movemen,it could awaken one individual. if thats all you did then you did somthing.
"a small group of 2 or 3 who truly belive in what they are standing for will change the world, it has never happened any other way." JFK

the poor and some thaughts
[I told a mentor of my sad thoughts, and my feelings of helplessness in working with the poor without apparent gain, socially nor eternally.] “He that believeth shall not make haste,” he said. “There is plenty of time. You must not imagine that the result depends on you, or that a single human soul can be lost because you may fail. The question, as far as you are concerned, is, whether you are to be honoured in having a hand in the work that God is doing, and will do, whether you help him or not. Some will be honoured: shall it be me? And this honour gained excludes no one: there is work, as there is bread in his house, enough and to spare. It shows no faith in God to make frantic efforts or frantic lamentations. Besides, we ought to teach ourselves to see, as much as we may, the good that is in the condition of the poor.”

Gods Grace, Robert Falconer By George MacDonald
Picquants from Robert Falconer By George MacDonald
“The Grace of God—making of humanity by his beautiful hand—no, heart—is such, that disgrace clings to no man after repentance, any more than the feet defiled with the mud of the world come yet defiled from the bath. Even the things that proceeded out of the man, and do terribly defile him, can be cast off like the pollution of the leper by a grace that goes deeper than they; and the man who says, “I have sinned: I will sin no more,” is even by the voice of his brother crowned as a conqueror, and by their hearts loved as one who has suffered and overcome. Blessing on the God-born human heart!” (374)

checking in ?
i feel hopeful interested and in love with life. Last night had some amazing conversations and was very good in being able to clarify what I want. s for my current relationship, i like it, allot. We have a great time together we both want to grow and succeed together, its been great finding someone that is on the same path and mentality.
i also was able to talk with my best friend Justin, it was great to see that we both want to improve our physical state. i believe that being in great physical shape will not only help improve my energy but also my confidence. it will also be a progression and a definite physical milestone to show a change into manhood, almost as a rite of passage. i have been able to drop all the weight that I had gained from being lazy and not caring. However I have found that i might be losing too much muscle and gaining fat again because i have yet again slipped into complacency. Getting back to a healthy state could be key in continuing this progress that i have had so far. i must be wary of being to mental of physical. i do like that Justin is going on a very physical path and i am more on a mental path, together it will be a great balance, and a powerful combination.
Scheduling, not a strong point. i have not put enough effort into finding a calendar i like on my android. That needs to be a priority, i have also noticed that i have put less effort into work lately but i am getting my workload done... more efficiency? Probably... however i also don’t really do any work till noon. i spend allot of time doing research and reading up on famous thinkers in the morning... this should probably be done on my own time.... if i worked hard from the time I got there to the time that I left i don’t think i would have to stay till nine to do it all.... I am more of a night owl but really my work is fairly mindless, and i would rather commit that energy to research and learning... which I need to schedule along with work. as well as time with Lauren, and Justin.
so i hence i want to prioritize time for
-research, learning and writing, mental mapping
-working out
-time with lauren
-time with justin
-*need to find away to make ed kang's idea profitable. there is something there i just need to find it.
i have also decided that i want to write a book. Mainly to
a) get my thoughts straight and materialize them onto paper which i believe can be powerful.
b) Increase my credibility
c) Accomplish something.
one will be on mentality society and how to think, in my perspective at least.
The other will be story of heroes and conqueror's, inspired by the walking drum by loui lamour but more of a fantasy setting. one with creatures of old and ancient powers and the progression of manipulating energy and power as a natural part of who we are... a world where our thoughts manifest into reality, just as they do in our world but at a much faster rate. it will be an experiment in imagination, something that i feel i have lost over the last 3 or 4 years.

30 second read, why not you?
"Why Not You?  Today, many will awaken with a fresh sense of inspiration. Why not you? Today, many will open their eyes to the beauty that surrounds them. Why not you?  Today, many will choose to leave the ghost of yesterday behind and seize the immeasurable power of today. Why not you?  Today, many will break through the barriers of the past by looking at the blessings of the present. Why not you?  Today, for many the burden of self doubt and insecurity will be lifted by the security and confidence of empowerment. Why not you?  Today, many will rise above their believed limitations and make contact with their powerful innate strength. Why not you?  Today, many will choose to live in such a manner that they will be a positive role model for their children. Why not you?  Today, many will choose to free themselves from the personal imprisonment of their bad habits. Why not you?  Today, many will choose to live free of conditions and rules governing their own happiness. Why not you?  Today, many will find abundance in simplicity. Why not you?  Today, many will be confronted by difficult moral choices and they will choose to do what is right instead of what is beneficial. Why not you?  Today, many will decide to no longer sit back with a victim mentality, but to take charge of their lives and make positive changes. Why not you?  Today, many will take the action necessary to make a difference. Why not you?  Today, many will make the commitment to be a better mother, father, son, daughter, student, teacher, worker, boss, brother, sister, & so much more. Why not you?  Today is a new day!  Many will seize this day.  Many will live it to the fullest.  Why not you?"  — Steve Maraboli (Life, the Truth, and Being Free)

And this I believe: that the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual. This is what I am and what I am about.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. Under the clouds of war, it is humanity hanging on a cross of iron." — Dwight D. Eisenhower
