🌠     artemis’ voice rang clear through the comm in kori’s ear & she turned just in time to fly out of the way of a falling boulder. though the debris wouldn’t have done much damage to her person, it was nice to not have to think twice about if her suit would need repairs.

“Yes! It’s snowing,” Gar excitedly shouts, a smile brightening his face as he watches the white flakes fall from the sky. “Give it an hour or two and there should be enough snow on the ground for us to have a snowball fight.  Until then, wanna watch a movie?”

🌠     large glowing eyes immediately darted to look out the window that gar’s attention seemed to be so focused on. ah, snow. for someone who radiated enough body heat to power a small suburb, kori had to admit that she adored this time of year. cold weather always brought something fun. the other’s question of a film brought her attention back to him & she smiled. 

“ we can do whatever you would like! ” that was code for, if she was to pick the movie it would be the grinch for the umpteenth time. & no one wanted to go through that.

🌠     that face he was making, it was one she knew all too well. he hated it. not the least bit enthused by her trying to keep up with human christmas traditions; it made her wonder if he had any that he himself followed. giving the scowling man a glance over, she came to the conclusion that throwing hanging knife shaped decorations was the extent of his christmas cheer. a stabby grinch if you will. the mere thought was enough to cause the woman to snort, bringing her back down to reality & the conversation at hand. glowing eyes squinted as she scrunched up her nose, looking at him defiantly. did he really have it in him to tell her no? his track record would say otherwise. she had enough reluctant polaroid photo ops of the two of them to prove it.

holding her cheeks in the palms of her manicured hands, she fixed him with a knowing smile.

i’m considering pulling one very specific thing from titans™ for kori & that’s the fact that their starfire looks relatively human. not for every verse, because lmao, her non-human appearance is *chef’s kiss*. but maybe just for interactions with less meta-human muses. tho she’d keep her abilities, just a little less “omg what tf is she” lmao

you  ever  have  a  series  you  love  but  then  the  story  itself  goes  to  shit  and  you’re  left  wondering  what  happened  ??  well  that’s  what  brings  me  here:  an  independent   ,   selective  𝐛𝐚𝐧  from  nanatsu  no  taizai  (  the  seven  deadly  sins  ).   meet  ban   ,   he’s  a  theif  who  drank  from  the  fountain  of  youth  and  is  now  cursed  with  immortality.  despite  his  mannerisms  and  overall  first  impressions  he’s  a  sweet  guy  who  just  lived  a  troubled  life  and  is  looking  for  acceptance  !!

🌠     it was moments like these that kori was made painfully aware of the difference between herself (& others like her) & the human species. for a race that she held dear to her heart, they were terribly boring. not that it was their fault that they were who they were. the statement caused her to laugh, though not in a malicious tone. more of one that bordered on amused at the thought of answering to the laws of gravity to keep her body placed on the ground. while, scientifically, he had a point, one that even applied to her at times. kori wasn’t a scientific mind, so that little bit of logic was clearly, & justifiably, ignored.
