Hey star! What is your favorite trope to write in your fics?

Ooooh that’s tough… but it’s probably some form of rivals-to-friends or rivals-to-lovers, as cliche as it is. I love when characters get off on a bad foot and have to clumsily stumble their way back into each other’s good graces. Also love the subtle transition of “ugh god he’s so annoying and insufferable and stupidly hot—wait wHAT” lol

I was listening to your klance fics spotify playlists and ohhhhh,, What Could Have Been from arcane on the heartbound playlist is making me Think 👀👀👀👀 some sort of drama??a miscommunication issue??keith's pining ass watching lance and allura??keith's childhood background??a war?????one of them almost dying for the other?????a forbidden love????desperate reunion kiss???? I have no idea, but whatever angst is coming i'm hoping for lots of comfort as well 😭

I know it’s not EXACTLY the same, but all the artwork is available to view online. And I’m totally fine with people printing/binding the fic as long as it’s only for personal use.

I think one of the reasons people tend to write "the bottom" all uwu and shit is bc of their lack of skills in writing and also their lack of understanding the character they're writing too. How do you get over this kind of thing? Bc you're one of the only writers I've seen that hasn't done this to the boys.

Yeeeeah, I agree. I've noticed it's a common fandom thing to prioritize tropes over characterization, especially in the nsfw world. Personally, I try to think about the characters first and foremost, and then mold the trope around them where needed.

The klance fandom is soooo ridiculously inundated with fandomization, which is probably the biggest reason why I stopped reading klance fics a long time ago. When a large majority of people are shouting "THIS IS THE WAY IT IS!!!!" it can be difficult to stick to your guns.

FUNNY YOU SHOULD ASK....... there is, in fact, a scene in a later chapter where Lance shows Keith around his hometown and dancing may or may not be involved.......

My best friend (who although has never been a fan of voltron or interacted with it beyond what I show her, has always enabled and supported my rants and fangirling about Klance hehe) decided to read Summer Haze after listening to me fangirling about it all the time, and she loved it! She kept sending me messages with more fangirling about whatever scene she was reading at that moment and already has Syrup & Honey on her To Read Fanfic Bookmark after also listening to another of my "star writes The best fics, I love them, and here's why" rants. While she does ship them and enjoys said ship, I know it's not one of her interests so it makes me really happy that she loved a fic I love as well. All this just to thank you Star, for creating wonderful stories that bring me and others lots of happiness! ^^

I thiiiiiink the winner has to be Read All About It, simply because I'm a total sucker for silly lil high school aus lol – but honorable mention goes to my royal au!! It hasn't been posted yet (it will be very soon *insert eyes emoji*) but it's already becoming a favorite of mine :)

As for an au I'd love to READ.... for literal years I've been talking about/dying to see a really good, solid pokemon au. I'd write it myself if I had the time right now!
