One was never entirely safe down here, but Talon's presence was a very powerful deterrent for anyone who intended to cause Xue Li any trouble. By now word had spread that the woman was under her protection.

As it stood now, they had a quiet evening for themselves and were able to laze on a soft couch. Talon had gently made Xue Li lean back and rest her head on the Sith's lap. Then Talon grasped a comb and strarted to brush her lover's hair that fanned out away from Xue Li's head like a dark halo.

Xue Li's long raven hair was as soft as it was beautiful. Talon could spend hours just tending to it and spoiling the long tresses with attentive care. Since she had no hair of her own, it was quite a new experience that she couldn't get enough of.

She also loved the various hairstyles that Xue Li wore, and all the accessories that adorned her. Just when Talon believed she had seen the whole variety, Xue Li proved her wrong and showed off an entirely new hairstyle, hairpin or accessory.

This at least made it easy for Talon to find gifts that Xue Li might appreciate. Something for that beautiful hair. And through finding the gifts, Talon had learned that her love language resembled that of a magpie - getting shiny things for her mate and puffing out her chest in pride whenever Xue Li wore one of her gifts.

The words made her smile. With a teasing tone, she said, "I bet you say that to all the ladies."

This labyrinth of sorts vaguely represented the lower levels. Every Coruscanti had heard of the various horror stories about the levels that were far too close to the planet's surface. Not even spice dealers built their dens this far down, because terrible creatures inhabited the dark corners where no light ever shone.

Obi-Wan's heart hammered in his chest. He had no choice but to ignite his lightsaber to see what was in front of him. The blue shimmer gave him comfort as he began to step forward, carefully making his way around various corners and turns. The path seemingly continued infinitely.

He halted in his step with a gasp when a pair of eyes reflected his lightsaber's glow back at him. "Hello?" Obi-Wan asked uncertain, but gathered his courage and approached the being. He came closer and closer, until the shine revealed her. A stunning woman, and a very familiar one. "Xue Li?" Relief flooded him. It was her, she was down here and possibly needed help.

But then it dawned on him. She didn't need help from any monster. She was the monster. Her pretty lips pulled into a wicked smile, revealing a row of sharp theeth. Obi-Wan gave a shocked cry and found himself sitting up in his bed, panting as if he had just run a marathon.
