It’s almost Spooky Day/Simblreen/Halloween and to celebrate I converted these 5 spooky hanging effigies from World of Warcraft. All five meshes are found under one catalog entry which can be found by searching ‘linzlu’ or ‘effigy’

What she says: I’m fine.

What she means: it’s been stated several times in sims canon that supernaturals and non-sim creatures are a known part of sims society. If that’s the case there are some troubling implications to the sims universe. In the sims 3 which is a prequel to the first two games, we see several types of supernaturals freely living among the general population. It seems that there are some discimatory laws in place that won’t allow werewolves to travel internationally it seems like a fairly supernatural positive society. Why is it then that the sims 1 (which canonically happens 25 years after the events of ts3) relegates all supernaturals to Magic Town and has strict laws governing magic usage outside of ones own home or outside of Magic town? Additionally only witches are allowed to live outside of this area. Are other supernaturals being made to live outside of city limits? It’s not because they’re being made to keep their magic usage secret since upon entering the neighborhood each family is given a magic kit, so why? We’re told in The Sims 3 that the sim nation military has recently become aware if alien existance in a news paper story and are planning some sort of action. Could it be that this developed into a full blown conflict in 25 years and simnations populace became xenophobic and suspicious of all non-sim creatures? Is that why everyone finds Dina and Nina so suspicious after Bella’s disapperance? Is it that bias rearing it’s ugly head? We know that there’s still a culture of discrimination and distrust due to PT and General Buzz’s relationship. And why is Bella’s disappearance being so focused on? She’s on EVERY milk carton. Might it be that Bella’s disappearance is only being so widely publicized in an attempt further manipulate public opinion against the supernaturals? Every sim fears supernaturals in ts2 besides knowledge sims.... What aren’t we being told?

Older is not always wiser. Maxwell is the older of the Erickson twins. He has a skill for spell casting and has worked hard to prefect his skills. He is a natural born genius for the casting arts but, is also very bad at keeping his families secret due to his talkative and outgoing nature. While he presents himself as a fearless spell caster and leader one misplaced todification spell can send him into a tizzy as he has very little love for squishy squarmy slimey small things being very squeamish.

Maxwell has decided to learn about the normal families around town and their technology witch he finds equally as interesting as his spellcasting.

It’s time we talk about SimsDom again.

Most of you probably already know who and what Simsdom is but for those that don’t, Simsdom (or SimsDomination) claim to essentially be a CC finds website, which in essence I suppose they are… But don’t get your hopes up for a Lana replacement because they are SO much more than that. And not in a good way.

I know this is an old subject, and most people probably thought it was all over and done with, but Simsdom is still around and what’s worse is that I’ve noticed a growing trend among my fellow Game Changers who create content for Youtuber and Twitch/Mixer of promoting the site by using it to do CC shopping haul videos and streams, which is encouraging their viewers to use Simsdom. I’m not going to name names or point fingers but it made me realise that maybe some people don’t understand just how bad Simsdom is for the community in general, but especially for the amazingly dedicated CC creators of Simblr. And it’s just so disappointing to see people that some many in the community, including myself, look up to promoting this garbage site!

If you’re curious to know why this is a problem, I’ll explain under the cut. If not, keep scrolling… But don’t say I didn’t warn you.
