“love, it’s my birthday and we’re doing something that you want to do, now how is that fair?” he scoffs, though his tone is nothing but playful. others may not have been able to tell that he was joking, unaware of the dry sense of humor he exhibits in moments like these. it was unique to him and a sight to behold to your heart. 

you lean in to press a kiss to his shoulder. “it’ll look nice for the occasion. plus, i know you’re secretly enjoying this.” you finish with a smirk against his skin. 

after securing the braid with the hair-tie, you hold up the mirror to diluc’s face. his gloved fingers pad at his bangs left unsecure, giving him a messy frame that couldn’t suit him more perfectly. he then uses the vanity mirror to take a look at your work, and you grab onto his bicep in anticipation.

“see? pretty, right? just like the birthday boy himself.” you stare up at him longingly. 

diluc lets out a soft chuckle and kisses your forehead. “i love it. just as much as i love you.”

okay so i normally go in with with a cryo, anemo, pyro and electro character. keqing or fischl are best for it also ganyu would be good. you really want someone who can freeze the water mimics or electro charge for long term damage. an archer (fischl or ganyu) is best to have for those fucking birds or keqing can take them out too!! it took me a long time to be able to solo the bastard but team comp for this bad boy is everything!! the mimics are really annoying but once you kinda get a comp figured out it becomes much easier
