Cait: At first meeting she thought Sole was pretty alright. He had managed to get through the entire place without dying, took out practically all Raiders that had been there, and even looked relatively tough enough that no one would wanna mess with him should a scuffle start up. Though, a surprise to her (but not to Sole) was that it took her a decent amount of time to properly distinguish his threats from his compliments. Now she definitely keeps an ear out to make sure she responds to what he says correctly, but does make complaints about how its difficult to tell the difference every now and again and will not hesitate to laugh/snicker/snort if someone he attempts to help/compliment takes it the wrong way.

Codsworth: Having known Sole before the bombs fell, though it hadn’t been for too long, hearing him seem so threatening wasn’t all that surprising to him. Of course, it was a bit disconcerting when he had first come online all those years ago, but now, even with there being a good 200+ years between the last time he had seen him and now, Sole was the same man that he had known. Codsworth has no trouble helping correct assumptions made during their travels by strangers Sir tries to help and usually laughs off their strange looks, though, it seems to the slight embarrassment of the Sir himself.

Curie: During their first initial interactions, she took a more cautious stance towards Sole, but still required his help to leave her containment as well as get her research out where it would be most useful. Though, during their time together traveling from place to place and helping people, as well as being there when he made sure they not only got her out, but got the young boy in the vault the cure, she has definitely changed her views of him being as threatening and worrisome as she first thought.. but, now, he is a little more worrisome in a different kind of sense - as he seems to find himself in trouble more often than not due to misunderstandings. Still, she is always willing to help explain something ( or give him medical assistance, should a fight occur ).

Danse: At their initial meeting, the Paladin could see that Sole was an exceptional soldier; took orders well and executed them without complaint. However, when he formally introduced the recruit to the rest of his recon team, it seemed that there was strife between Sole and Rhys which made him hesitate and worry if there would be more trouble like this further down the line. However, the longer they stuck with the team, and by his side, the more he realized that it was mostly just miscommunication between Sole and whomever it was he was trying to help.

Deacon: First glance, Sole seemed like someone quite similar to Glory, if he was being honest, which of course he always is! He might not be honest with his face, but he is with opinions! For the most part at least. And, upon watching him closer and pretty much studying the guy, Deacon can safely assume he is a bit like Glory, but not entirely.. just seems to give the wrong impression a majority of the time where Glory takes credit for the impressions she makes. He can definitely see Sole being a great asset to the Railroad and does have a good snicker at Sole’s expense whenever they go to help a settlement or someone and there are misunderstandings all around. But, even as funny as they can be, he does help the poor man straighten things out here and there... though, he’s pretty sure his sarcasm doesn’t help many of the situations they usually find themselves in... Oh well!

Anonymous asks: Companions react to a female Sole Survivor being pregnant with Nate’s child when they come out of the vault? Maybe they meet them when she has had the baby or noticeably pregnant?

Dogmeat: He notices that there is something different about this human, than all the other humans he has met before.. and when Sole explains to him that she has her own small one on the way, you can expect this pupper to be over the moon excited! He will also become quite protective of the unborn child and protect Sole much more than he had done with anyone before.

Hancock: It honestly wasn’t the first thing that he had noticed when he walked up to them, Nick and Finn to.. straighten out the minor complications that they seemed to be having. It was, however, after this that he realized that Sole was pregnant, and quite a long ways into it. Hancock is now the self-proclaimed Protector of Sole and their unborn child ( going so far as to make sure everyone knows, even when Sole has another companion with them ) and will do whatever it takes to make sure that they’re safe and happy and not at all stressed out. He’ll still do his drugs, but does them much more cautiously around Sole.

Nick: When Sole had first come to him, he just figured that this was another ordinary case of another missing person and took the fact that Sole was quite a decent way along in their pregnancy in stride... though, once he started getting their story about just who they were after and where they had come from did he really take notice. Of course, he had a few questions about being put on ice while pregnant, but didn’t really think this was the best time to bring them up as they could more than likely cause more stress than Sole could probably handle at that point. So, for as long as they were traveling together, he did his absolute best to keep Sole and the child safe, as well as relieve anything that could be too much stress for Sole... though, to say he was anxious about them going into the Glowing Sea to find Virgil was a bit of an understatement.

MacCready: Nope. He didn’t think of his wife when she was alive and pregnant with their son when he first saw Sole walk into his little backroom at the Third Rail. Nuh-uh. His fatherly instincts didn’t kick in at the sight of them, not at all. Either way, he definitely noticed Sole’s pregnant stomach as they came into the room, though for some reason was still surprised when they wanted to hire him ( granted, it was a little obvious that was what they were planning when there was no one else in there except for him and the two gunner dip-wads ). He definitely took taking care of Sole very seriously and tried not to be too overprotective as they weren’t his partner, nor was that his child... but he couldn’t really help the moments of panic he felt when they got into dangerous fights. He can’t thank them enough, however, when they agree to help him get a cure for his own son, and once that is accomplished, he takes Sole’s well-being, and that of their unborn child, even more seriously than before ( if that was even possible ).

Hey guys, so, I’ve been thinking about this for a bit, and I have a few posts coming out that are formatted like this... but I was wondering: should I keep going with making separate parts for the posts that could end up really long if kept in a single post, or should I just leave them all in one post?

I’m not entirely sure exactly when between yesterday and today it happened, but I’m so thankful for each and every one of you for being here and sticking with my slow-to-put-out-new-content self. I’ll definitely be putting out several new posts today, though, granted as I stated before, it will probably be a bit on the slow side... but rest assured, it will happen!

Danse and Deacon have a crush on Sole so they go to their leaders (Danse to Maxson and Deacon to Dez) and ask them for advice (maybe they are even drunk or high when asking this). What do Maxson and Dez tell them? Do they even support relationships between their soldiers/agents?

Danse’s Situation: In all honesty, in the very beginning when he is first starting to feel these emotions, he kind of puts them on the back burner to sort through later when he has time to himself and less duties that need to be fulfilled before such time.. but it never really helps when he spends so much of his time with Sole to begin with, which also tends to keep bringing the feelings to the forefront of his mind; usually during fights with Super Mutants, Feral Ghouls and Raiders. The Paladin is also reluctant to ask for advice from Maxson as the man is still younger than him and he feels that this should be something he could and should easily figure out on his own… also he isn’t sure just how much the Elder would know about starting and keeping relationships, especially within the Brotherhood.

To say the least, Elder Maxson figured that there was something between the Paladin and Sole practically the moment that he first saw them together – and he does support this, though is weary and makes sure that the Paladin knows that there are conditions: that the mission always comes first. And, as well as making sure Danse sticks to the same rules and regulations that every member of the Brotherhood must obey when either getting into or pursuing a relationship, he trusts his Paladin and knows the man can get the job done, he always has. Though, he would be itching to give the same lecture to Sole, but seeing as Danse hasn’t told them of his affections yet, he’ll hold off on it for now. Plus, he strongly makes a good team, both for the Brotherhood.. and for each other.

Deacon’s Situation: When Deacon realizes he is starting to feel this way for Sole, he tries to push it back as if the emotions were never there and it was just all a fake and nothing really to be concerned over. That is, until one particular fight where the two of them got out by seemingly pure luck - but Sole was injured pretty badly. The panic that swept over him in that moment had carried not only his battered body back to HQ, but that of Sole’s as well, and once he was certain that they were going to be well taken care of as well as, ya know, survive, the feelings and emotions start to swell again and it honestly scares him. He hadn’t felt like this for anyone since Barbara. His first instinct was to emotionally try to distance himself, then he tried to turn to drink and drugs, but he knew that both could jeopardize everything he had worked for and being unaware of his surroundings and the things he was saying could get someone killed... again.

It wasn’t even him going to Desdemona about it, but her finding him. She’d been keeping an eye on him since he and Sole had gotten back from their mission, with Sole in critical condition. She had been there when he had first joined the Railroad and thought only the best of him, even as he was one of their very best, and seeing him so distressed about whatever he was going through, she had a chat with him. She talked him through everything and gave him her full support. As well, she definitely had plans to help get the two of them together because not only were the feelings between the two so obvious, but they worked well together and she didn’t think there was anyone better suited to have her top man’s back than Sole.. stealth wise, anyway.
