and for full transparency, this applies to me as well, I wasn't a teenager when I started reading LO mind you but I remember when I first discovered the #antiloreolympus hashtag on Tumblr and I couldn't believe people could hate on this series as much as they did, I thought they were exaggerating, being nitpicky, etc. until around the trial arc when I started to see the holes in the plot and then a lot of the stuff the anti's were saying started to make way more sense LMAO now I can't imagine reading this comic seriously the way I did back in 2019, I can't even believe how much of the creepy shit from S1 I overlooked 🤢

Anyone notice how Lore Olympus and Hazbin Hotel handle SA similarly?
After the pink character gets SA’d the plot forces them to get comfort from their love interest, who is characterized as an older man when they have other friends RIGHT there and it would make more sense if one of these other characters comforted the pink one. The love interest comforting the character who got SA’d is used to develop their romantic relationship.

RS Went Out of Her Way to Give Hades an Oedipus Complex.
Something struck me as odd when I saw images of LO’s pilot.
This was Rhea’s original design; she had galaxy skin like Kronos.
When Lore Olympus became a WEBTOON original, her design changed, which I honestly consider a good thing. Rhea was always associated with nature as opposed to space. So, did RS give her a more rustic design? Did she get her signature turret crown, or maybe a lion motif?
Nope.
Rhea, (who is described as an EARTH titaness within Lore Olympus itself) was redesigned…to be a pink Persephone clone.
And this isn’t a case where you can argue “oh, well everyone is a Persephone clone cuz same face syndrome, it doesn’t mean anything in-universe!!,” because in the comic, Persephone was established to be a canonical Rhea lookalike when Helios mistook a description of Persephone for a description of Rhea.
They have fundamentally identical designs, and both RS and the narrative know it.
On top of this, Hades describes both Rhea & Persephone to be very kind (and otherwise just similar personality-wise). So, um…Hades basically married a fun-sized version of his long-lost mom.
Which makes this line all the more disturbing.
Hades is interested in Persephone being titan-sized, and I feel like it isn’t a stretch to say this is a sexual thing. The fandom treats it as a haha funny joke, like “aw Hades has a giantess fetish lol 🤪” but I feel like everyone’s ignoring the fact that giant Persephone would look exactly like a pale Rhea clone. It’s not rocket science; large Persephone is basically just Rhea.
And Hades wants to see this….for fetish reasons?
RS knows what she’s doing. She deliberately redesigned Rhea to be pink (when she is canonically an EARTH titaness, and would’ve benefited far more from being a shade of green or brown). She went out of her way to create both physical and personality parallels to Persephone and Rhea, even having a character confuse a description of Persephone for Rhea. She threw in implications that Hades has a giantess fetish, meaning he’d be sexually attracted to Persephone when she’d look exactly like his mom. She made all these story decisions…to give Hades an Oedipus complex. There’s no classy way to put it; RS made Hades fall in love with a clone of his dead fucking mom.
You can’t even argue “oh, well, it’s Greek mythology!” because, correct me if I’m wrong, but Hades wanting to fuck his mom was nowhere in the original myths. Plus, RS has taken measures to remove incest from her story. Persephone is not related to Rhea in Lore Olympus, there is no reason she should look this much like her. This serves no narrative purpose, RS did it for shits and giggles, and it only makes Hades look like 10x more of a creep.
I’ll end this post with a little spot-the-difference between Rhea & Perse. To make matters worse, this is arguably the most Rhea-like Persephone has looked…and it was in Hades’ dream. So, uh, do with that as you will.

Hera - Goddess of Marriage, Queen of the Gods 🌟
Anyone with any sense knows that it's Hera that rules Olympus, not Zeus. While he is off with one of his lovers, it's Hera making sure things don't fall apart.
🌟 Appearance
- Created by Metis using the stars of heaven, her skin shimmers with starlight
- She likes to outfits with peacock motifs in reference to Argus, many-eyed giant and faithful servant to Hera. Hera uses his many eyes to create the peacock after his death. Argus still serves Hera, in a new incorporeal form.
- She's still a fan of non water proof mascara, for the dramatics
🌟 Marriage
- As Goddess of Marriage, faithfulness is just in her nature. No matter how much Zeus has cheated on her, she has never been unfaithful to him, nor will she ever be.
- She can't retaliate against Zeus for his affairs, so this results in a lot of poor women receiving Hera's wrath.

A poorly done comic about some of my feelings on Lore Olympus. Mainly on the fact it’s a “Feminist Retelling”. It feels very misogynistic for a feminist retelling, like the biggest example is how almost every women who embraces their sexuality are deemed as villains. I say almost because Daphne is an exception to this trend. However, she is an exception and not the standard. Also, Persephone being sexy but doesn’t know it, made me really uncomfortable. I think after the 10 year time skip Rachel tried to back pedal this. I just wish we got moments of Persephone choosing to look sexy at the beginning. I’m probably missing a few things, but I’ll deal with that later, because I’m writing this with a migraine. Also sorry for any grammar mistakes.

You know what I really hate about lore Olympus?
Is that people who don’t know about Greek mythology and read it most likely will think that all of what is happening in it is true.
Like Apollo being Misogynistic r*pist.
Hestia, being a controlling parental figure to Persephone
Demeter being a controlling, manipulative, mother.
Ares being a huge pervert, to Persephone and treating Aphrodite like shit.
And more like there are people who will believe it and it’s scary that this is how people will see these amazing gods and goddesses as monsters instead of the (well not caring. they all have a lot of flaws and some that are unforgivable but you know what I mean) Except Hestia… she is the most loving caring goddess I know so she’s and exception to this rule.

Poseidon with a Beard!
I think by LO standards Poseidon is the most fitting one of the brothers to have a beard because of his usual rugged look and laidback yet chaotic attitude. IMO Poseidon having a beard will offset the childish way he acts and been drawn(sometimes he straight up looks like a teenager/child), like i get bothered by this sometimes

Behold, Zeus the king of the gods
Why is Lore Olympus allergic to men with beards? Beards are beautiful.
I remember first reading the comic and being very wierded out by the fact that Zeus got no beard. I think Zeus is one of those deities that you should always give a beard to no matter what interpretation, it don’t feel right if he’s clean shaven (well as long as he’s portrayed as an adult atleast). This edit isn’t the best but I tried. I’ve always been curious in what lo Zeus would look like with a beard.

I’M FINALLY DOING IT! I’m going to be doing comics of my Reawakening AU, basically Eris (who is Nyx’s child now which is why I redesigned her for the most part) sets Kronos free for that sweet chaos rather than her being a plot device in the trial. Some other things happen but I’ll explain it in the following pages to come. Kronos was slowly being revived still because of Persephone’s tree and I guess Eris picked up on that. The timeline for this is that the trial is still going on. I think the end of this comic is basically the 2 of them quietly escaping tartarus.

Ok I'm actually pretty experienced in painting gold (but its pretty simplified) I do it similar to this: (not mine) there's should be very dark shades near the lightest area but ofcourse it won't be the same in all areas

I know I said that I won’t be drawing anything for LO anymore well…I’m willing to make an exception for Demeter’s lovers. I’m not killing off Iasion in my storyline btw because I just don’t want to, he just survived Zeus’ attack but barely. Unlike the myth, Zeus didn’t attack Iasion out of jealousy so he did it for a different reason but I don’t know what yet.

Hades defenders pls understand that just because your man got abused doesn’t mean he isn’t abusive himself.
He ripped out someone’s eyes, constantly shouts at those with a lower status at him for Persephone. It’s supposed to be attractive, but that is abusive behaviour.
He is a slave owner.
Minthe faces racism from his family. Yes she was abusive. But does that mean he can dismiss her feelings constantly? No, it doesn’t.
Demeter is constantly verbally assaulted by him. And this guy will turn around and say ‘why do you not like me 😭🥺’
Hades is abusive. There’s multiple types of abuse. Stop acting like physical abuse is the only type of abuse ever because it is insulting that you’re implying it.
Hades can be manipulative, verbally abusive, physically abusive (ripping out someone’s eyes and then being mean to them after again and again is abuse) and manipulative and y’all stans will be like… ‘oh no, anyway’ BUT get mad when he gets criticism for being a piece of shit
