Fantasy Is A Metaphor For The Human Condition, a comic about magic, and art, and speculative fiction, and being sick, and how they all intersect. Originally laid out/pencilled November-December 2017, when I was in a very difficult place emotionally as I was relearning how to draw post-brain injury.

I recently watched the Merlin witchfinder episode and you know what's heartbreaking??
The fact that he used his magic for something so innocent, so childlike. Yes, he uses it for chores but the one time he uses it just because, just because he has it and it's enchanting and it's magical and that nickel of happiness he gives himself turns into the nightmare of Gaius almost being killed for it. It drives in just how there really is no space for magic, for Merlin in Camelot because no matter what he does with his gift, he will always always be the enemy.
I have nothing to hide, he says but his entire existence is an unending game of hide and seek.
