The absolute entitlement to not like your timeline and asking a complete stranger to change how they move online so that you can have the timeline of your dreams. Get all the fuck outta here with that shit.
That was rude but you DO talk to people in reblogs a lot, it definitely clogs my feed sometimes and I’d like it if you considered DMs sometimes
okay. don't follow me. I like talking to my followers.
in the second to last serial of classic doctor who, the curse of fenric, there are strange pseudo vampires. at one point the doctor explains that - despite the folklore - it’s not the physical crucifix that repels the vampires, it’s the faith of the person holding it, their absolute belief in something more than themselves. the priest present fails to repel the vampires with a crucifix, because his faith had been broken by the events of WWII. the doctor repels the vampires with his faith in those he has had as companions, muttering their names over and over.
i mention all this because - and i am not making this up - it is immediately followed by a soviet man repelling the vampires with the power of belief in communist revolution. they aired this in the 80s.
as the show was then cancelled one story later, it remains the only show to ever be cut down in its prime twenty six seasons in.
The fact being "ugly" means that you're performing femininity wrong is an issue that affects cis women as well, which is why we say that transphobia against trans women affects everyone. TERFs lack empathy, though, so good luck getting any of them to see sense.
i mean sure trans women are beautiful thats a fact but you are also aware that even if every single trans woman in existence was ugly wed still be deserving of love and respect right?
I've been thinking more about this picture. It's still on my mind. I think what I enjoy is how flat it is. Nostalgic looking media flattens out it's subjects. There's a removal of dimension, of context.
This image does that literally in the sense that there really isn't a sense of depth in the image. No real contrast between background and foreground is clearly defined. The image also does it figuratively by obscuring itself in time. It's washed out like a disposable camera but the cars in the picture are new. Newer than the apparent age of the image. (I don't know exactly what year these cars are, I like car pictures, not the cars themselves).
It all grabs me so easily. It's a trap. My trap. Nostalgia feels good, but it isn't real. Nice to hold for a moment, but poison if kept for longer.
I still want a bunch of pics like this, though. They're a lovely trap to look at.
