i fucking hate this team so god damn much

i don't know if it's because i'm in my thirties, but i seriously do NOT get all the criticism/hate surrounding the tortured poets department. the album is close to a masterpiece. there are 25 certified bangers and six "meh" songs but even those "meh" songs are ahead of so many other artists.

yes, taylor made need an "editor" of sorts; yes, her collab with jack antonoff has run its course a bit and she's much better with aaron dessner; yes, she needs more "empty space" in her songs to hear the music/instrumental, but the album evokes so much emotion and is beautiful melodically.

i also think fans need to calm down with the over-analysis of her lyrics (yes that is a thing, take it from me, you're friendly neighbourhood english teacher) because the reason taylor got popular was because of the storytelling and relatability of her lyrics, and if you take that away and have her lyrics apply ONLY to her and her life experience (as opposed to yours, or yours, or that girl's, or that other girl's, or mine) then they lose their magic.

Not for anything but why is Rhea Ripley being forced to vacate the title while injured but Seth Rollins was not?

Swifties, please excuse my ignorance about this ask, but I am so confused and want to make sure I don't get scammed out of my money/tickets in a worst-case scenario. I've mostly been "offline" about the Eras Tour because when I go, I want the show/setlist/experience to be a complete surprise (I know...it's hard!)

Full disclosure: I have tickets for an Edinburgh show, but am looking to sell or transfer mine in order to purchase/transfer for another date.

Can anyone please explain to me the rules regarding selling and transferring tickets for Eras Tour shows? Specifically the UK shows. I'm seeing SO many conflicting posts and I don't know who or what to trust. I bought my tickets on AXS. Are we allowed to sell our tickets on a third party website like StubHub or Viagogo? If not, why do I see so many for sale? Are they all scams? I know we are allowed to re-sell on Ticketmaster/AXS, but I don't want to put mine up for sale until I have tickets for the date I want.

I know that we are allowed to transfer, but the option isn't available until closer to the date of the show, if I'm not mistaken. So how are people already transferring tickets in threads? I am SO nervous that everything will be "agreed" upon and then a transfer won't happen, and considering I have to fly in, this would be awful. And what's the whole thing about "names on the tickets"?

If you can name any trusted places/threads to buy/sell/transfer tickets, I would be forever grateful!

just wanted to say that i went down a rabbit hole on fanfiction.net and came across your finn balor fic from YEARS AGO and i absolutely loved it. just finished and came to check out your tumblr from the last chapter. the pacing and writing was incredible and the angst was gut wrenching but in a good way. definitely one of my favorite fics ever.

Apparently, I'm a Toronto corporate girly now after being WFH for three years. ANYWAYS, I can't help but think. Does Bee live close enough to her office to walk or take the street car or is she cool and take the PATH to her office? I just mastered the PATH this week and I feel victorious haha

Bee ends up living in Forest Hill, and so she has options. Before kids, she usually takes the subway. But once Andy and Maia are born, particularly after the school run, she drives into work. She can definitely navigate the PATH although it takes her a while to learn LOL

I’ve gone down a real Vincenzo’s Plate rabbit hole recently and the one thing that is drilled into my brain is that you DO NOT PUT CREAM IN CARBONARA. Is this a lesson Bee learned from Rocco when he was teaching her to cook?

Oh my God, PLS. Putting cream in a carbonara is bastardizing it. It's Americanizing or Anglicizing it. Repeat after me everyone: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE YOU ALLOWED TO PUT CREAM IN A CARBONARA.

What's even more of a cardinal sin, though, is that extremely bastardized versions will have bacon (seriously?) while maybe half-bastardized versions will have pancetta. Both are unacceptable. Traditional carbonara is made with guanciale, which is pork jowl/cheek. IF YOU DO NOT PREPARE IT WITH GUANCIALE, IT IS NOT A CARBONARA.

I've fully embraced the Vincenzo's Plate attitude of "Do this to your food, don't do this to Italian food" that we spoke about before and have become protective over traditional recipes or pronunciations of certain words/dishes. I actually only learned what "gabagool" actually referred to like last year, and every time I hear it, it makes my blood boil.

Bee definitely learned this lesson early on from Rocco.

YES!!! It happened this summer. Apparently it was in Italy. No pictures at all besides what was just released by Tessa.
