It is hard to believe that it has been so long, but 25 years ago, the Spicey Boys entered the stage for the first time with their debut album, "Spice up your Life". It came as a surprise when their song "Let's Get Spicy", rose to the top of the charts within two weeks. It was their first taste of a very hot career.
The album is widely recommended for its "true nature" to the Spicey Boys, when they simply sang about themselves and who they were. It contains hits like Spicy Dreams, Heatin' Up My Heart, Spice Me, and Summer Spice.

Spice up your life!
The Spicey Boys are a British vocal group, formed in Brighton in 1992. The group consists of Bolt Habanero, Keith Elliot, Joey Styles, Mitch Horan, Yogi Carter and Mike Timberlake. The group rose to fame with their first album Spice Up Your Life in 1993. A year later they rose to superstardom with their second studio album The Heat Is On. From that moment on, the charts would always be filled with their spicy and sexy songs!
Unfortunately, as their fame grew bigger, their creative differences also grew. This eventually led to the band splitting up in 2005.
In 2006, Mitch Horan changed his name to B-NANA and tried to make it in the world of hip hop. He released one single, I Think U R Appealing, which made it on to the radio. Unfortunately for Mitch, this was more of a one-hit wonder. Luckily for him, a famous sport brand scouted him as the new face of their sneaker collection. Nowadays we can still see some advertisements with Mitch's face on it.
Bolt continued writing lyrics, but now he wasn’t part of a boyband anymore, he wanted to experiment with more philosophical lyrics. He even wrote a song for his hero Michael Bolton! However, Michael never recorded this song. To still show the world his philosophical thoughts, Bolt released his solo album Reflection in 2009.
Keith finally decided to follow his dreams and auditioned for multiple rock bands. This wasn’t really succesful, so he decided to begin his own band Anihillism. Until now, their singles didn’t hit the charts. However, they still perform at pubs and free festivals!
Joey was spotted by a model scout and become a fashion model. Not only was he spotted by a model scout, he was also spotted by a lot of talkshow hosts. The media loves Joey! 2006 was really the start of Joey as a TV personality, as he was one of the presenters of Idols. Unfortunately, all this fame came with a cost. To escape all the pressure, Joey used a lot of alcohol and drugs. In 2010, Joey’s career as a TV personality came to an end, when the paparazzi spotted him doing drugs in public.
Yogi, who was often referred to as the spirit of the band, got tired of all the attention. He married his high school sweetheart Rebecca in 2007. Two years later, he made a video announcing the pregnancy of his wife. Nine months later, Rebecca gave birth to twins! Mark and Monty grew up under normal circumstances, because his parents deliberately kept them out of the media. After the birth of the twins, nobody ever heard anything from Yogi.
Mike’s claim to fame began in 2007, when he did a collaboration with Rihanna. Their single ended up on second place in the charts. From that moment on, everybody wanted to do a collaboration with Mike. Because of all this success and all these collaboration, it took Mike some time to make his own solo album. In 2011, he debuted with Fortitude and announced his first world tour. This tour sold out within five minutes. Even nowadays, people still love to see and hear Mike. Talkshows want him as a guest, movie directors want him for a soundtrack and girls want him to be their boyfriend!
