➪ other notes : my writings have been flopping so bad recently, not that i mind too much, this is inspired by that one scene between cassie and nate from euphoria, and i’m so sorry for the shit ending, non-edited
you always found it comforting when dazai would wrap his arms around you before sleeping. it was a sense of security for you, even if you believed he had done it with past lovers. and each morning, his arms would always be around you every single time. perhaps it was his sixth sense, it was dazai for god’s sake.
so now, you sleep in his arms in the small futon you both share yet can’t get rid of. he stirred in his sleep but this was different. this time it woke you up, his ragged breathing as he thrashed around was enough to panic you. you’ve never seen him like that, sweat gleaming on his forehead as hair sticks to it.
you carefully shake him awake, not knowing what else to do. he gasps awake, gripping your arms shakily. “shh, shh, it’s okay, it was just a bad dream,” you whisper. he calms down, wrapping his arms around you, pinning you into a hug against the discarded blankets.
and within minutes, he’s snoring again, you can’t help but wonder, did he actually just have a nightmare ? maybe the ghost of his past came to visit him with a gun to his head, or maybe to your head. you can’t go back to sleep now, worry filling your mind and his body on yours wasn’t all too comfortable.
thankfully within an hour you settle back down, tiredness consuming you. the next morning, you wake up, your sleeping beauty still clinging to you tightly. did he sleep like that the rest of the night ? you lightly smile and brush his bangs, the sun slightly beaming.
having his arms around you wasn’t just a sense of security to you, it was a sense of security to dazai himself. to know that you’re physically there with him, that you haven’t left him. he’s human too, he has to keep carrying these burdens with him, but it’s easier with you.

EM !!! how are we feeling after aot :(( also i love everyone going back and writing about their aot favs bc literally me too HSKWKALA
rylie!! i’m feeing very empty right now!! like i lost a part of me?? i sound so dramatic but i watched aot through some of the most fundamental changes in my life. it means so much to me and i really never liked the manga but the anime made me somewhat satisfied with the ending actually!! im happy with how the character’s stories ended other than wishes there was more of a conclusion for the remaining survey corp members… im happy with levi’s ending but i wish they showed him w gabi and falco just for me….
eren’s conversation with mikasa and armin killed me like those are probably my favorite scenes now… me and my friends were all silently crying as it played…
i’m cooking up a postwar!levi x reader where it’s basically single father of gabi and falco levi x veteran!reader just for you baby xxxx
