I'm not a scientist but... I had a bit of trouble finding any graphs to help me understand what's happening in the Arctic, so I went off to Washington University's Polar Science Center to grab some raw data and made one myself. My prediction? Ice-free Arctic in the Summer by c.2016. Ice-free all year around by c.2025. More worringly, the International Panel on Climate Change worst case scenario, on which much current policy is based, predicts Summer sea ice will not dissappear until the end of the century and Winter ice will be around for the forseeable future. Whitewash?
