This is probably gonna be a mess of an analysis but I just gotta talk about this card with Rapunzel, Arianna, and Frederic hugging cause I just-

THE SYMBOLISM! THE COLORS! THE STYLE WHICH IS VERY OBVIOUSLY TTS WHICH MEANS THE ARTIST DREW INSPIRATION FROM THE SHOW!

First off, right out the gate I love how this is referencing the hug from the end of the movie. And of course the framing of our girl being front and center.

But this is like the perfect picture that captures what Arianna and Frederic have been doing the last 18 years. They cling to their daughter, the sundrop. They cling to light, to hope, to warmth, to healing. Because that, just like Rapunzel, is all they have. It’s all they can hold onto.

And another thing it’s a little hard to spot but if you look closely there’s also lanterns and they’re specifically in Rapunzel’s hair. Naturally just like in the movie I think the lanterns ate still representing the dreams. And both the lanterns and Rapunzel’s hair are kinda framing the picture and surrounding the three of them. At first it reminded me of how Rapunzel’s hair looks when she’s turning on the shield and then it hit me. She’s sheltering them.

Their dreams are protecting them, being their shield. It chases away the blue so they’re surrounded by only love and hope and warmth. And of course we all know that blue is the moonstone’s color so we could interpret this as their familial love sheltering them from death and destruction.

And my last note, the title. Heal What Has Been Hurt. Of course, part of the healing incantation. I think that further enforces the idea that they’re sheltering each other. Cause the title and visuals could imply that Rapunzel is actually singing the incantation for herself and her parents, to heal the pain of them losing each other.

as much as the concept of Jesus being a fairly normal lad has its charms, im personally very intrigued by the idea of him being just… extremely weird. not even in a mystical sense, just…….staggeringly BIZZARRE. 

you go to the well to get some water, and here’s Miriam’s boy, staring at the sky, completely still. his expression is unreadable. you hazard a hello and ask how he’s doing, and he slowly, unblinkingly, lowers his gaze on you (he’s 8 and is missing his frontal teeth, not that this is making you any less uncomfortable) and says “I cannot speak of the state of my being, Nathan son of Saul, my brother, but rejoice for the water you shall take today will be as pure as the soul of the children of Heaven”

Tiberius lives a happy and humble life with his tribe of witches and wizards past the mountains of Finn. Queen Justine of the Finnian empire knows no tenderness, going from one village to the next and integrating it into her evergrowing empire. The Dreaded Queen has always been nothing but a shadow to Tiberius. A far off nightmare that could never touch his home. But today, Tiberius’s village is next. But her plans go awry when Justine is attacked by rogue wizards and left in the woods to rot. However her luck changes when Tiberius finds her and must save her from her many foes as they get back to Finn. During their adventures, the pair learn to rely on each other as friends and perhaps even more.

Thank you for your patience for your two requests! I wanted to merge the ideas of "first kiss" and plain "big ol' smooch", but then kept procrastinating because I was nervous about drawing physical affection to this degree (and even then I didn't fully draw it out). It was still very fun!

Atlas: What���s the point of throwing shade if no one’s there to catch it?!

So I did talk about this a bit with @frozenwolftemplar but Cass’s line here just wrecks me. Specifically the wording of it. The way she emphasizes “MY mother” because yes that is her mother and like hell is she gonna acknowledge any kind of sisterly bond between her and Rapunzel right now.

And also, despite what the mirror says, Cassandra doesn’t say love here. She says “shred of affection”. Now first of all, the way her voice cracks as she says this always gets me misty eyed. Bravo Eden Espinosa, wonderful voice work as always. But shred of affection, that’s so interesting to me. Not love, not even full affection. Just a shred of it. Because even now 20 years later, as she’s “reclaiming” her agency, that’s all she wants, isn’t it? Just a scrap of love, a shred of affection. Some small semblance of positive attention so Cassandra feels like a good daughter and so she can keep lying to herself that she is loved and valued.

It honestly reminds me of one of the lyrics in the reprise of Waiting In The Wings, “One glance, one touch, and I just kept on waiting.”
