“the idea that this is all you’re going to get is so false . you will meet kinder people, you will find a place where you belong. there will always be new things to be loved by & if you aren’t being loved right now all it means is that better love is in your future”

Pachelbel’s Canon in D was one of the pieces that I really wanted to learn. When I started, I thought it was difficult but I was determined. I know it’s far from perfect. It’s nowhere near the fancy arrangement and exquisite interpretation of the piece but when you want to learn something, you gotta start somewhere. And so the sheet music I used for this became my choice because it was an easy, simple and short arrangement. It didn’t take me just an hour or two to finish learning the entire piece. Despite its simplicity, I spent a huge amount of time going through the measures again and again before moving on to the next staves that it used to frustrate me. I even used to scribble the notes on the sheet because my brain cells just can’t take sight reading well (or is it the other way around?). My brain just gives up. I kid you not. 🤯 😂
What I’m trying to say is: some things take time. You own and go through a process - whatever that works for you. Now, the outcome can be favourable or it can be far from expected. You might not notice it first but once you gradually get the results, that’s when you start to appreciate the part of “getting there”. Things can get pretty ugly or they can go according to plan but hey you know deep down it’s worth the shot eitherway!

"There is no reset button in life. You can’t take anything back, and you can’t undo anything. All of your actions have consequences, and the things you say and do today will have a lasting impact on the rest of your life. You have to understand that, and you have to be aware of it while making both small and big decisions throughout your day." - Unknown

“Let someone love you the way you are - as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”
