Too real.
Tumblr media
And then there were three! Three roses are the traditional way of saying "I love you," thus they are a perfect symbolization Feylin's most famous quote: "I love you, thorns and all." Today's poll lands a bit on the unconventional side, though, and wants to know,

could you imagine being a little girl growing up in hewn city and Mor’s in charge and you hear about her engagement and her escape and you think finally someone understands what’s happening to me and there’s proof that you can get out that things can get better and not only that but she’s in charge!! the high lord’s third in command and she’s the queen of hewn city, he said so. surely she will do something. surely she understands how you feel. and then being sent off to your forced marriage and all she does is show up every time and intimidate people as nothing more than the high lord’s lackey and then everything stays the same for a hundred years. then two hundred. then three…

“Tell me when you knew,” (Lucien) demanded, his knee pressing into mine. “That Rhysand was your mate. Tell me when you stopped loving Tamlin and started loving him instead.” I chose not to answer. “Was it going on before you even left?” I whipped my head to him, even if I could barely make out his features in the dark. “I never touched Rhysand like that until months later.” “You kissed Under the Mountain.” “I had as little choice in that as I did in the dancing.” “And yet this is the male you now love.”
And yet this is the male you now love.
And yet this is the male you now love.
And yet this is the male you now love.

Smth that makes me laugh is that you either hate nesta archeron's guts with your whole being, I mean hate posts, death threats and all that jazz, or you worship the ground she walks on, I mean demigod type shit. There's no in-between.

A lot of pro-Tamlin's seem to want Feyre to get back together with him, but Feyre herself is also a toxic person, or at the very least someone who doesn't know what they want, so in the end I think their relationship would fail regardless
Give my man a spring court citizen who was deeply affected by Feyre's rampage so she works to rebuild it and helps the other people of the court. Tamlin finds her and is inspired by her leadership, so he enlists her to help him delegate with the Spring Court. She readily accepts because she's always wished to be able to do more. After a while they develop feelings for each other and they help each other heal from their pasts and promise to make the Spring Court flourish together.
Okay I may or may not now do this with Astraea (minus the spring court citizen part, and she'll probably have other lovers too idk)

I don't really care if someone is pro-Rhysand until they start trying to jump down the throats of everyone who dislikes him
Because on the surface level, I can see the appeal
But the second you dig into the text to actually analyze it and you come out still liking him, half the time worshipping the ground he walks on, then attacking people who don't like him????

Hey @wingsdippedingold , what if this was my last straw? What if I was suicidal? What if this was my 13th reason?
Did you THINK before posting this? Okay it’s true, but is it helpful? It’s helping me commit murder alright. Is it inspiring? It’s inspiring me to kill myself in a creative way I guess. Is it necessary? It’s making it necessary for me to buy a gun. Is it kind? Kind of messing me up for sure.

I'll never understand people who defend the ic's handling of Nesta by calling it "a last resort" or the "best they could do" because we all know its not. they didn't even try anything else, they saw her struggling and jumped into locking her up
You mean to tell me that on a giant ass continent full of fae and magic there's not a single mental health institution? not a single professional?? Like ffs Sarah
People love to throw around how powerful the ic is and then turn around and say they "did the best that they could"
not to mention the fact that people who read this and are on board think that that sort of treatment is beneficial to the recipient, because it's NOT

I've seen a lot of people point out the parallels between Rhysand and Nesta, and I think that's precisely why he hates her (apart from Feyre)
She is her equal, and that scares him
She rivals his power, and to him that makes her an adversary
He's so incredibly insecure that he feels the need to put her down at any sign of rebellion because he knows that if she wanted to, Nesta could do some real damage against him.

Not liking Rhys is fine but the fact the some of your friends are saying that he is not a SA victim is crazy. Like that is actually so disrespectful towards real victims
I haven't seen any of my "friends" say this
ever???
Literally all of us know and acknowledge what he experienced was SA
If you can seriously show me who said this please do, because you need to back that up
and if anyone did say that, I am willing to bet we aren't friends
In fact it's usually Rhysand stans who overlook Feyre's SA and defend Rhysand for how he acted UTM

Tamlin's mask = somehow supposed to make him harder to fall in love with
Rhysand's mask = somehow justifies his terrible leadership, murdering of civilians, and drugging and SA of Feyre

I know we all dog on Rhysand for being a manipulative little cunt with little regard for people who don't benefit him... but sometimes I can't because SJM wrote him like that unintentionally. Like she wrote such a truly terrible man that in any other circumstance would be cool, BUT SHE DIDNT DO IT ON PURPOSE
How bad of a writer do you have to be to fuck it up that badly😭😭
You tried to make him morally grey, but write the narrative to make him the paragon of virtue, and then write his character to be a despicable brat???
This is the acclaimed author?? Get your fucking act together Sarah
