Somats always been on my mind and its that did Henry ever know what Alfred did for him, Alfred didnt go into detail at all what he was gonna do/ what he was planning when they shared their last kiss, but also Henry probably knew they'd never see each other again. I'd assume Henry ran if he didn't know about Alfred
I don't think a detectives death is major in the publics eyes either so it probably wouldn't make big news.

possibly one of THE most mind-bending, mind-boggling, brainaching police-procedural-scifi-timetravelling-social-dramas of recent years; this has had three seasoned scifi fans pondering & wondering & puzzling for every hour of 8 episdoes; this is tremendously challenging & demanding & rewarding. 10/10

My evil plan has succeeded!!!!!
Just kidding but I did really enjoy this show and was shocked by how little content there is for it on this website. Yeah it's a mini series from October which is why I missed it - I was a little busy in October 2023, cause, well, you know. But like idk it didn't have to be THIS niche.
I think the only reason this didn't consume my brain is caused I watched it Tuesday night/Wednesday extremely early, and on Wednesday-Thursday there was a con and Thursday morning in particular was my lecture so I was pretty occupied, and I'm now in recovery mode, so I mostly just stalked the tag and queued it to get the consumption energy out for now.
Sorry for my life story lmao
But yeah it's just this show was surprisingly good I almost couldn't stop it and go to bed when I had an extremely early morning the next day, and I had literally never heard of it! It's so well made, no plot holes that I noticed and those are pretty much endemic to this genre, and the actors do a phenomenal job selling me on everg premise.
I fucking love that every detective is margianlized in a different way and the way we see how that influences their lives and the way that connects to the themes of love and sacrifice and ughhh just. Yeah idk I just woke up and I'm still in recovery from the extreme everything of the last several weeks but I'm glad I introduced you to a show you like!

When Henry said "you honestly think running me out the city will end it"
I'm gonna cry like what if he also means it ends their relationship and he's like "you honestly think" so he obviously loves Alfred because hes not letting him and go, him technically saying nothing can seperate them. (Still true since they meet again)
Then he goes onto say "You make stop fucking me but they will never stop fucking you" also saying literally fucking him but metaphorically when he says they will not stop fucking you, messing with him all the time and letting things control him.
And he's incredibly defensive because he thinks Alfred is using it as an option to end them when he's really protecting Henry so Henry can stay out of Harkers reach and not bother him.
But then there's that lovely forehead touch letting him know he has to run and he'll lose Alfred no matter the option. He knows how to get through to him and I love that.
He probably also knows Alfred could never come with him because Alfreds also properly though out his options, and he still needs to protect his family even if he failed with Polly he still tries by giving Elias doubt 2nd time round.
