Verily, the Lord of the months is One ; the Lord of Ramadan is de Lord of Shawwal, Sha'ban and the rest of the months. It is obligatory upon the Muslims to worship Allah and desist from disobeying Him at all times and moments, as He said : "And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death)." THE BEST GIFT A DAUGHTER CAN GIVE HER PARENTS The daughter is obliged to obey her parents as long as it does not involve disobeying Allāh. She is obliged to please them and provide them with physical and mental comfort. Most importantly, their benefit, education, bringing them close to Allāh and driving them away from what displeases Him should be on her priority list. This is the best gift a daughter could ever present her parents with. The ultimate expression of obedience to them is that she can be the reason they enter Paradise and be saved from the Hellfire. HE WILL TAKE OUT THE TWIG IN THE EYE OF HIS BROTHER YET IGNORE THE LOG IN HIS OWN EYE Know that if Allāh wants good for a servant [of His] He grants him insight (basīra) of the faults ('uyūb) of his own self. Thus, whoever has insight will not be oblivious to his faults, and when he knows them he will try to cure them. However, most of the people are ignorant of their own faults and you will even see one of them take out the twig in the eye of his brother yet ignore the log in his own eye. THE LORD OF RAMADĀN IS THE LORD OF SHAWWĀL, SHA'BĀN AND THE REST OF THE MONTHS The blessed month of Ramadān is a great season to accustom oneself to righteousness, being diligent in the worship of Allāh and competing to perform good deeds. It is abhorrent for the Muslim to forsake worship once this month has finished, as is the state of some people who do not know Allāh nor the worship of Him except in Ramadān. It is said to these people: O you who knew in Ramadān that you had a Lord, whom you worshipped, obeyed, feared and placed your hope, how could you forget Him after Ramadān? O you who knew that Allāh made it obligatory upon you to pray five prayers in the Masjid, how can you be ignorant of this or feign ignorance after Ramadān? O you who knew in Ramadān that Allāh forbade you from all acts of disobedience, how can you forget this after Ramadān? O you who knew in Ramadān that in front of you there is Paradise, the Hellfire, a reward and a punishment, how can you be heedless of this after Ramadān? O you who used to fill the Masājid in Ramadān and recite the Qur'ān, how have you forsaken the Masājid and abandoned the Qur'ān after Ramadān? How strange is it that a people do not know Allāh except in Ramadān, and do not fear Allāh except in Ramadān. Some of the Salaf were asked about the condition of a people who were like this, and they responded: "How evil is a people who do not know Allāh except in Ramadān." Verily, the Lord of the months is One; the Lord of Ramadān is the Lord of Shawwāl, Sha'bān and the rest of the months. It is obligatory upon the Muslim to worship Allāh and desist from disobeying Him at all times and moments. *They Would Seek Allāh's Forgiveness And Repent To Him* At the end of the month of Ramaḍān, the Salaf would increase in seeking forgiveness and repentance to Allāh the Exalted, and they feared their good deeds would not be accepted. They would strive hard during the month of Ramaḍān and outside of the month, then they would be afraid that none of their actions would be accepted. They would seek Allāh's forgiveness and repent to Him. It has been narrated that they would supplicate to Allāh for six months to allow them to reach the month of Ramaḍān. And if they reached the month of Ramaḍān, they would fast and pray at night and then supplicate to Allāh for six months to accept from them the month of Ramaḍān. *The Rights The Parents Have On You* Verily from the rights the parents have on you is that you be dutiful to them, and that is by being kind in speech and action, spending ones wealth, using ones energy, and obeying their orders as long as it is not disobedience to Allah and does not cause you harm. You should be soft in speech when you talk to them, look at them with a cheerful face, and be in their service in a manner that is befitting. Thus, you should not show discontent towards them when they get old, sick, and weak, and you should not find that burdensome, because one day you will be in their position. What He Wants From You... All Allah wants from you is that you be His slave in the complete sense of servitude, just as He is your Lord in every sense of Lordship. A slave that is subservient to Him and is obedient to Him while being in accordance to His commandments and staying away from His prohibitions as well as believing in what He has informed. Due to the fact that you see His blessings upon you, one after another, will you not be shy to exchange these blessings for ungratefulness?! UNTIL THE MONTH OF FORGIVENESS DEPARTS The happy person is the one who reaches the month of Ramadān and he spends its nights and days in the obedience of Allāh and doing that which pleases Him, so due to this he is deserving of the forgiveness and pleasure of the King, the One Who Recompenses. The miserable, deprived person is the one who reaches this magnificent month and he does not do righteous deeds, which elevate him, he fails to repent from his sins, which destroy and humiliate him, he wastes this month and its days and nights in that which angers Allāh and that which will ruin him, and he did not turn to Allāh, seeking His forgiveness for his sins and evil actions. He remains in [this state of] transgression and aversion until the month of forgiveness departs. Additionally, in the two authentic collections [Bukhari and Muslim] there comes a hadith narrated by Abu Musa al-Ash'ari who said : "They said,' O Messenger of Allah  , which Islam is best ?  He ( sall allahu aleyhi wa sallam) responded , "The one whom the Muslims are safe from his tongue and hand." (Al-Bukhari (no.11) and Muslim(no.42). ( Important lessons for Ramadan - Shaykh Abd al-Razzaq al-Abbad , page 39) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxV3qQBFOfI/?igshid=6uyepor87nkz
