It would also flesh the world out a bit. The planet could be a utopia because sci-fi and perhaps the reason the gems go to the planet is their ship gets damaged and they have to land on the planet. The planet could have the classic 50’s aesthetic because that’s the time the first humans landed on that planet. I’m just spitballing ideas here
The Zoomans should’ve lived on their own planet. Possibly on the way to homeworld? They could be descended from a colony of humans that found a habitable planet long ago. You wouldn’t even have to change much from the existing material.
I think that could work better than just having a straight up zoo. Maybe The Crystal Gems could’ve freed the first ones that were taken there, but for whatever reason, were unable to take them back to Earth. So maybe they found a nearby Earth-like planet, and now there’s a colony of humans out there

What is this BEAST on my floor
Oh god- okay so in ML there’s this little girl called Manon, she’s maybe about 4 or 5 years old? Anyway, she has brown skin, brown hair, and orange-amber eyes, and for one scene (she was literally on for around 5 seconds, with one line) they needed another child, so they took Manon, gave her white skin, blue eyes, and literally neon yellow hair (meant to be blonde I assume, but it was literally fucking neon) and just used that.
