Overview
Overall, this unit has been a great opportunity to work on a live project with a magazine, and given an insight into working in the industry. Also, it has been good to work more digitally communicating with everyone involved in the takeover as this will most likely be the new norm of working more digital in the Fashion Industry. I. have really improved my communication, interpersonal, creative, team work, time management and organisational skills this unit which is so valuable to me as I go forward in the industry and in my degree.

AUB GFW or ASBO
8/06 We were on campus today and had our meeting with Karen and Joe about splitting our group of 6 into two and working on Graduate Fashion Week with AUB and continuing posting on the aubfashion Instagram, or working on the ASBO interviews and Instagram mockups. Myself, Holly and Macey stayed working with GFW and on the AUB social media as we have been doing so the whole live project, and Molly C, Molly D, and Hannah were assigned to work on ASBO. In addition to this, we were each assigned an article to create an Instagram story using the content from the people that were interviewed for each article. These all need to be approved by the lecturers before they would be posted on the aubfashion or ASBO social media accounts. I was given Jacob Hill and created two stories of his work and his pull quote too, as shown attached.

Hootesuite Scheduling Posts
2/06 We had a few issues finding a suitable scheduling app for posting on the aubfashion Instagram as some needed payments, some needed a Facebook page to connect to, and some couldn't schedule the amount of posts that we needed to upload. We found the app Hootesuite, which gives us notifications for what time to post, which needed payment details but gave us a 30-day free trial which is within the time limit until our deadline. Christian entered his payment details for the app. For the rest of this week we continued contacting students and liaising with photography for headshots, posted Bernice, Abigail and Alina on the aubfashion Instagram. I colour coordinated the Excel timetable spreadsheet to update the progress we were making with posting.

Editing Templates
Editing and making templates was a continuous process over May and June as L6 students didn't all send their work at the same time and I had to chase them up for it, and some we had to get headshot photos later, due them not being at the original shoot. Also some international students needed to clarify their names as some had different names that they preferred to be on their template. For example, I changed the name for Zichun Jin as that is her preferred name.

Assisting Film
24/05 We helped the Film group again as they needed to source some music to put in the background of the films they had made and were struggling to find the time between them to do so. There was a website called Thematic that was good for unlicensed music. This week we also had to contact the L6 Design students to upload their work on the shard One Drive folder so we could make the templates. Also to remind them that the headshot shoot was the 28th.

Graduate Fashion Week
17/06 Myself, Holly, Molly D, Alex and Charlotte travelled to London to attend Graduate Fashion Week, to look to inspire ourselves for Level 6 next year, and to get photos and content for AUB and ASBO. It was really inspiring for me as a Fashion Branding and Comms student as it showed me the potential and the standard of work that I can and will exceed in my final year of university. I had a couple favourite pieces of work from the Comms students, they were Abbie Yallop from De Montfort University and Demi Holmes from Sheffield Hallam University. We saw the Arts University Bournemouth Comms and Design exhibits which was great content to get for the AUB Instagram.

Instagram Insights After
24/06 We looked at the Insights into the interaction on the aubfashion Instagram account to compare to how it was before we started posting on the feed and the stories. As you can see on the Growth chart, it shows that the account has grown and has more activity on all days of the week, whereas before it was only on Sunday and Tuesday mostly. Also the account has gained 38 followers since we began posting, and the gender of activity from followers has risen in women and dropped in men by 0.2%.

ASBO X AUB Instagram Stories
For the ASBO articles that the Editorial group wrote, us in Social Media each made Instagram Stories for each article to tease the magazine on the AUB/ASBO stories. I was given Digital Innovation & Future Thinking, and it was about the work from a L4 student called Jacob Hill. I made the templates according to the Instagram Story dimensions, 1080 x1920, and added two images of his work and a pull quote.

Scheduling Posts
We made a schedule for the L6 Design and Comms Instagram posts which helped us all navigate who had been posted, who didn't send us their work, who didn't have a headshot photo etc. This helped to really keep us organised and in-sync with what we all were doing and who we knew to contact for missing work etc. We also shared a notes page of what the hashtags were allowed to be on the posts we shared on the aubfashion Instagram. When Holly was posting the templates on Instagram there were a few grammatical/spelling errors on the hashtags or captions, however this was communicated with the lecturers and quickly edited and fixed. this made us ensure we were double checking everything on the posts such as spelling, grammar, the dimensions of the templates (1080 x 1350), the font (Poppins bold or medium) and the colours of the posts according to AUB guidelines. Attached is also my draft template ideas from the early weeks of the project.

Group Work
Working as apart of a team this project has been a real eye opener into what working in the industry would be like, and having to be communicating very clearly and consistently with a group of people so you're all on the same page and know what each other is doing. there has been times when our group Social Media, and all groups, have had to sit down and make sure everyone is clear on what they're working on and how to help other groups. Also communicating with the lecturers was confusing sometimes but again it was a case of ensuring you're all on the same page and also had approval from them for what we were creating and posting on the social media platforms. For example, we spoke to Christian about using our templates for the Instagram and posting in threes to coincide with our posts, which were always posted three at a time, and he was happy to do so.

Contacting L6 Students
10/05 At the earlier stages of the project I contacted Level 6 students to send us a photo of themselves so we could add them to Instagram posts/templates alongside their work. This idea was then scrapped as it didn't look very professional or consistent on the templates so we then organised headshot photoshoots for L6 Design and Comms so we could have more professional, high quality photos of the students that all had the same background and thus looked great on the Instagram feed.

TikTok & Instagram
For my outcomes of this project, we started working on creating and posting on an AUB x ASBO TikTok, and also posting on the aubfashion Instagram page. On the TikTok we made quirky and short videos of things that Level 6 students were doing on campus, and also behind the scenes footage of shoots and interviews that were also taking place for the project.

Assisting Photography & Film Groups
24/05 We put all our work aside as it wasn't as urgent as the work that Film & Photography had due in so we helped them with any tasks they wanted us to do, to ease their work load. I made an Excel sheet on students and their contacts, as asked to by the groups.

Instagram Template Posts
For the AUB Instagram page we posted pretty much every Level 6 Fashion Design and Fashion Branding and Communications student and their final project work. Myself and Macey made the templates according to the AUB colour and text guidelines (Poppins font and specific pink, blue, green, purple and yellow colour scheme), and made them with the students work in so they were ready for Holly to post using the Hootesuite scheduling timetable. Attached is the templates that I made.
