Mini Update!💛:

Just a lil update I popped on the au’s Instagram story that I wanted to drop on here as well! ^

Thank you so, so much to @monx224 for this absolutely incredible art they made based off the au! They captured this moment between the bros so perfectly :,) If you’re not following them already you should definitely check out their work cause their art is amazing! 💛✨

So, a time ago I found an Au of Sonic with Tangled (the movie of Disney) and this is maybe my favorite Au in the world. check it out, the Au is on Tumblr and Instagram

Considering his astraphobia, I think a lot about how extra scared Miles would be given how much higher and closer up to lighting he’d be in the tower. I imagine Eggmans version of ‘comforting’ the little guy would just be holding him until he calms down or just listing scientific facts as to why the lighting won’t hurt him. However… knowing him and his manipulative ways, he’d probably also use it as another reason as to why Miles is much safer and well protected in the tower.

Also lil extra note: When Miles first gets the jacket he 100% would trip on it sometimes. If he actually got hurt Eggman would probably play it off at first and be like “oh, you’re fine” but would defo (whether he’d want to or not) end up going dad mode and give the lil guy a plaster and some mints to make him feel better.

This was created by the amazing @katlyntheartist to depict some of Miles’ growth over the years! I just wanna squish him (Especially the first two oh my goodness). There’s some other things that they’ve helped work on for the au that I can’t wait to share in the future and if you haven’t already you should definitely check out their work cause they are absolutely amazing! 💛✨

Update!

Wow it’s been a while! ✨ I’ve recently dealt with a few physical health problems (fatigue, dizziness, eye infection, ear infection, cold…one after another to the point it’s almost comedic!) as well as some irl issues (RIP to some of my kitchen roof, gone but never forgotten🫶✨) - crazy times! But I’m glad to hopefully finally get back to being more active again! I can’t express how much peoples patience and concern has meant to me over these crazy few weeks and I’m so excited to get back to sharing more soon! 💛✨

BURNOUT AU:

An… AU… to the AU! Just a sad lil idea thought up with my friend @drawingtara who you can find under the same @ on Instagram and Twitter!

Funnily enough this isn’t the only AU to the AU idea I’ve had (or the saddest), so maybe I’ll dabble with other ones in the future too cause they are super fun ideas to explore! [Especially the ‘Eggman wins’ alternating ending scenario]. For now, enjoy this poor lil strapping young man who is in desperate need of a break, some sunlight and a hug!

Rough and Tumble Character Design Reference sheet ✨⬇️

Rough and Tumble, criminal mercenaries and the AU’s equivalent of The Stabbington Brothers!

Just as ever the crime duo have a hunger and greed for power + control and will go to any means necessary to achieve it (even if they aren’t always successful). After connecting the dots with the other main character parallels in the AU in The Stabbington Brothers case these two instantly came to mind and felt like a perfect fit! They represent everything Eggman warns Miles of and their role in the story also gives them the opportunity to begrudgingly (and regretfully) work with Sonic and later proceed to do the same with Eggman.

✨Thank you so, SO much to @pocketscribbs for creating these amazing designs! I gave them total free reign as this time round I didn’t particularly have anything jumping to mind so it was a joy seeing their interpretation and they perfectly captured the balance of small but impactful tweaks that I’ve been aiming for with the designs! Rough and Tumble are defo on the harder side art wise yet they absolutely nailed it. Please be sure to check them out and follow them if you aren’t already cause they’re work is fantastic and I yet again can’t express my thanks enough! 💛✨

Over the past few weeks I’ve been posting some sneak peaks of things in the works on my Instagram story and realised per usual I forgot to post anything here! So here’s a few sneak peaks of things in the works made by myself and a series of incredible artists who I can’t thank enough! What would the equivalent to the Tangled Ever After short film be? Obviously not a wedding lol, but curious what the au’s version of this would be if you’ve thought about it! :)

Oooo, I hadn’t even thought about that! Maybe Miles (now going by Tails post the main story) feels kinda insecure about if Sonic really views him as family, so Sonic decides to full fledged adopt him? How can a child adopt another child? Considering how extra reckless he is in the au at first how would Sonic be deemed a suitable guardian?… We’re just gonna chalk that all down to Sonic universe and plot convenience magic ;). If he can beat all the odds in battle then a determined big brother can beat the odds of the adoption system. :,)

Cue this being in the form of some kind of celebration on a slightly windy day and Shadow and T-Pup somehow end up chasing after the adoption papers and are just all round not having a fun time.

Not 100% sure and maybe I’ll think this through more in the future but this was super fun to think about! (And thank you so much for the support! I can’t express how much I appreciate it and I’m so gosh excited to keep putting more out soon! 💛✨)

PLEEAAASEEEEEE please pls pls pls tell me we still get some version of ‘Mother Knows Best’ with Eggman-

Well… ;) I do have alternate lyrics written out… and there is a wonderful Eggman va who’s been helping me out with some stuff! Only time will tell! A whole song is a big ask. No matter what though, I will absolutely post some kind of equivalent to it when I get to that scene whether it just be lyrics and/or art!

In fact, if there was ever a song I wish I could make a full animatic of it would without a doubt be that one (or the reprise!)✨ It’s visually so, so clear in my head, but I unfortunately don’t have the time or skill to be able to pull it off and wouldn’t want to ask someone else with it being fairly lengthy and most people aren’t keen on drawing Eggman. Maybe one day if anyone expressed interest or approached me about it!

I have so, so many ideas… him wrapping Miles up in blueprints and spinning him round, the whole bit where she’s singing about the plague but he’s showing pictures of the metal virus, the “also large bugs” bit but its a shadow of one of the bug Badniks on the wall, the whole “men with pointy teeth” line but it’s “hedgehogs with pointy quills” or something…

But long story short, still not quite sure what you’ll get but you’ll definitely get something! 💛✨

Miles Robotnik / Tails Character Design Reference sheet ✨⬇️

Miles Robotnik, kid genius and the AU’s equivalent of Rapunzel!

Our favourite sweet, lonely and blissfully unaware two tailed fox. After having been saved and taken in by Eggman at a young age all Miles wants to do is make his father proud and spends his days tinkering away in the lab/tower. Despite his less then pleasant memories of his time on West Side Island, just as his loneliness grows so does his curiosity of the outside world and longing to one day get back out there (sparked even more so by his wish to one day see and fly the red biplane he sometimes spots flying past the tower from his window). Eggman is quick to remind him of the dangers of the outside world, that others wouldn’t accept him due to his tails and that some could even use him for his mechanical abilities (while doing exactly that).

As for a few little additional parallels, his tails sometimes dragging across the floor under his lab coat is similar to how Rapunzel’s hair trails behind her. Meanwhile the grappling hook invention is used in a similar way to her hair and a while ago I had the idea for him to have a zapper device (somewhat inspired by the IDW Zeti Zappers) as an equivalent to the frying pan!

✨ Thank you so, so much to @/thatbirdguy_ for all of their help with creating the art for these character sheets! It’s been so fun working with them on the core 4 main characters (not counting Eggman who looks the same, the reasons of which I should probably dive into one day!). And thank you so much for the designs of his gadgets as well! Can’t thank them enough! 💛✨ I recently came up with an alternate design for how he could wear his jacket (I’m such a sucker for puffy sleeves) and they helped me capture that perfectly! The only other small tweak was him also having cuffs around his ankles and his gloves being proper lab gloves even upon leaving with Sonic. It’s one more thing to differentiate his design, further ties him to Eggman (and the idea of him being gifted actual normal gloves by sonic after the main story is super sweet to me). I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this… but he’d also defo wear blue shoes after the main story too. Pre AU ideas: Sensitivity and disapproval.

Had this random silly lil doodle lying around for ages and thought this was the perfect opportunity to use it! This little guy needs hugs asap. I feel like kids who really crave approval from the parental figures in their life take it even harder when they aren’t able to achieve that (and I mayyyy or may not have based this off some of my own struggles when I was younger) but that’s made even harder when said parental figure is EGGMAN of all people!
