Idiots in Love|Matt Solo
The first time Matt sees you he’s fucking smitten. He isn’t sure what it is but your so pretty to him and he feels queasy whenever you look at him. You make him want to do something, anything to make you look at him forever. You’re nothing overtly special to anyone else but to him your the sun and the moon; fuck your the clouds and the stars too. He’s kind of hoping that one day you’ll see him in the halls and maybe just maybe you’ll wonder what it’s like to be with someone like him... and he’ll show you.
It’s Thursday when Ben & Kylo force him to go up to you or in their words “fucking talk to her or we’ll do it.” So he goes to talk to you in a sea full of people and he’s never been more terrified in all his years on earth. He just wants you to give him a chance. He’s just a guy hoping a girl he likes will give him a chance as cliche as that sounds.”Excuse me? May I speak to you in private.”
He fiddles with his shirt nervously as you give him a smile and nod following to him a less crowded hall.“You probably don’t know me but I’m Matt.”
“I know who you are you’re the sweet guy who knows a lot about computers.” you say smiling sweetly at him. Sweet. Matt has always been sweet but never any of those words used to describe Kylo or Ben. He can work with sweet though.“I like you. I like you a lot.”
He squeezes his eye shut clutching the scraps of his bookbag. He’ll just rip the bandaid off fast and maybe the rejection will hurt less. It never actually does but Matt has mastered pretending to be ok like wearing a second skin.
“I like you too I’ve always liked you.” He looks up and your smiling shyly at him trying to hold back a large grin. You liked him and you always had.
“Would you like me to walk you to class?” He asked and you nod grinning up at him as he held your hand on his way to class.
He passes your friends who cheese and give you thumbs up while Kylo gives him a proud smile and Ben yells something like “that’s my fucking brother!”He’s surprised when you give him a hug before slipping in class. He likes it and he feels better than he has in a very long time. For the first time Matt Solo walks to class with his head held high.
Matt thinks he’s just rocks asking the sun and the moon and everything beautiful in this world to live him but in your eyes he’s always been diamonds just waiting to be unearthed and you can’t wait to do just that.
Besides in the end you both are just idiots in love.

Matt is very self conscious. He has this mindset that no one would actually like him because he’s not as cool or edgy as his older brothers and it ducks because you think he’s great.
He likes to teach you different things. Like how to do certain shit on a computer or how to program this and that and even though your super lost you pay very close attention
He loves when you kiss him on the nose. He’s very self conscious about his looks especially his nose so it’s great to know you love him despite all his flaws
He likes to go to the library with you or stay home and watch copious amounts of anime with you. Like his favorite thing to do is watch anime with you actually
He likes the fact that he’s taller than you because it makes him feel like you need him even if you don’t it’s good to feel needed sometimes you know and you make him feel that way.
He always wants to impress you so he’s constantly trying to show you new things or other stuff he can do or just recently learned how to do.
He likes to hold you in his arms while everything is quiet and calm because it relaxes him and he just wants to hold you without any interruptions.

Modern Kylo Ren headcanons
Kylo obviously inherited his mother’s company because out of his brothers he has the most drive and determination.
Kylo’s favorite parent is neither actually. He loves his parents he honestly does but he feels like he’s never connected with one more than the other so he doesn’t really have a favorite parent
His favorite brother is Matt because he thinks Ben is arrogant and an idiot plus Matt is secretly his soft spot because he’s just so much softer compared him or Ben
He’s an amazing cook. Like when I say amazing I mean amazing it’s one of his many secret talents besides being a good artist. He actually designed some of the art on the company walls and has even sold some.
When he was younger he wanted to be a chef but that wasn’t what was expected of him so he took over the family business
He’s very short tempered and once almost got expelled for trying to fight a teacher
He and Ben have a strict if one fights all fight rule
He hates eggs. Nobody is sure why or where that started but he genuinely does he thinks they’re gross
He’s a very demanding lover and is relentless in the pleasure he gives back
He is faithful so his partner must be faithful too. He values honesty in a relationship because he saw what dishonesty did to his parents
He likes warm things and areas. Anything that makes him feel safe and secure

He knows
Ben solo had died and Kylo Ren was born but in the face of love did it matter. It had been years since he had seen y/n, years since he had held her, & years since he had loved her. Perhaps he had forgotten how. She was there in front of him and he couldn’t even remember how to love her. He once thought, back when he was foolish and young, that when he saw her next everything would come rushing back. It did not.
She was still beautiful. Y/n had not lost that in all their years apart but she was no longer his. He’d learned that the moment he arrived on this speck of dust planet. Her thoughts, her dreams, her hopes, her fears came rushing at him like falling rain. In those thoughts he saw himself and he saw a man, an idiotic man who didn’t know that y/n was his. She had loved him but not anymore and that was ok.
She’d simple forgotten how to love him just as he had forgotten how to love her but it didn’t matter anymore because he was emperor and they had all the time in the world. So when he cut down that little half breed who was half y/n and half of that man he knew she’d forgive him. She has always forgiven him. She would understand that she didn’t them. She had always understood.
He would give her another child. One who was apart of him and her. The child she was meant to have not the child of some usurper who sought to take her away from him. To take something he had lost so long ago but that was then she is here now. Safe in his bed.
He knows she weeps because of the man but it is obviously tears of joy. He had taken her from her life of dirt and given her a crown. He has given himself to her over and over and over again. Each time she prays, each time he knows she prays for them. She prays for happiness and what would make her happier than their child.
While she screams the loudest.
He knows she couldn’t be happier.
