did episode 9 treated rey's charactztion?
Hi anon! I don't think episode 9 did Rey's character well. If we consider her growth from TLJ, her character regressed in ep 9 and she wasn't really herself IMO. It was not something in Daisy's acting, but moreso how her character completely ignores anything that happened in the last movie. Once again, this is just an opinion. Any other ideas, fellow Reylos?

I never understand why the fuck the Jedi are always so insistent upon having dozens, if not hundreds or thousands, of Jedi when the whole goal is to bring balance to the Force. There are two Sith and a bajilion Jedi. How is that balanced? That's why I really wish the trajectory of the sequels was:
Episode 7: Rey becomes obsessed with the idea of being a Jedi, meeting Luke Skywalker, etc.
Episode 8: Luke refuses to teach her how to be a Jedi and it isn't until the end of the episode that we understand why. He realized that his fears that Kylo would destroy the Jedi were justified, but that Kylo was actually right all along. There could never be balance if there was a new generation of Jedi.
Episode 9: Rey works to rebuild the Jedi order (which will actually imbalance the Force and lead to horrible destruction) while Kylo works to destroy the Jedi (which will actually bring balance to the Force) and they eventually come together and realize what they have to do, and they let knowledge of how to wield the Force die with them, finally bringing balance to the Force.
But hey what do I know it was obviously way more interesting to have a reanimated Palpatine and have Kylo die an unnecessary and boring death.

I鈥檓 kinda done with Star Wars digging up old wounds. Like I鈥檝e been somewhat okay with what happened at the end of TROS knowing that he lives on in the fandom but now.. four years later.. they鈥檙e lighting the hope again based on the 4th ep of Ahsoka and it hurts. It really really hurts. I don鈥檛 want them to hurt our space children again.

Snoke was never fucking with Rey to hurt her; it was to hurt Kylo/Ben.
Snoke isn鈥檛 an idiot; he鈥檚 been in the guy鈥檚 head since birth, he knows him. He knows Ben Solo remains deep down and knows he鈥檚 fallen in love with Rey (so does Hux, I have a fic on that but another story-) so he鈥檚 doing it to punish him. He鈥檚 disappointed in him for making a mockery of the First Order so he鈥檚 torturing him in the most hurtful way he knows how.
Rian confirmed Kylo/Ben was planning to kill Snoke after the hand hold scene, but here is what really fucking broke him;
He couldn鈥檛 bare to see Rey hurt the way he did all those years. His normal, his typical day was something so damn awfully horrible and disturbing that he could bare it happening to himself but couldn鈥檛 watch her take a minor sample for five minutes.
Worse part is Kylo/Ben can鈥檛 let Snoke know his plan and he can read his mind so he鈥檚 trying to think that he wants her dead and hates her when in reality he鈥檚 hurting immensely. I don鈥檛 know how I didn鈥檛 pick up on this in sixth grade-
