The first thing Milo noticed about her was the accent. She was most definitely not a Parisian, but neither did she appear to be from any readily identifiable locale. The second thing was the obvious awkwardness she felt standing in his shop-and awkward customers tended to buy less and then Leo would scold him for not making the daily figures. Consequently, it was in his best interest to make her feel at ease. Which could be accomplished, apparently, by his usual overgrown puppy ways.

"A book?" he asked with a small grin, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "Certainly, madamoiselle. Ah, but what kind? Spell? History? Almanac? I, ah, have so many from which to choose."

It's a slow, slow, slow day.

Milo has rearranged everything on the shelves and there isn't a bottle or vial that hasn't been freed from whatever dust it had possessed.

Milo clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth, ducking down to check. His hand popped up shortly, clutching a small brown packet and waving in triumph. "You're in luck, my friend." -------"I don't get many people asking for this one, it might be a bit dusty."

He’d nod sagely and in an understanding fashion, but he’s too young for it to look anything less than condescending. Instead he makes a sweeping gesture with his lanky arm, still smiling. —-“There is plenty here to see; I’m sure you will find something that you need.”
