i decide who i ship with.
“at the end of the day, i am the one who decides who i want to ship with.”
this sentence may sound rough, but that’s not the way it’s intended. it is meant as a reminder to those who struggle, who feel guilted into a ship that may be hard to leave / hard to raise opinions about, who have lost the spark in a ship, who may find it hard to separate ways with a ship they no longer feel.
at the end of the day, you as the author and presenter of your character, is the one fully in charge whether or not you should stay or pursue a ship. if it doesn’t feel right, you are allowed to step back and say no. if you longer feel a ship, you are allowed to break it off.
communication is key, as always.
but it must be said that you are allowed to do as you please, as you see fit, as you feel. no one gets to stand in your way of that, and if they do, they may not be a compatiable ship partner.

“Hey!” Wally laughs and shoved Dick gently on the shoulder, “you can’t be worried, only I get to be worried right now.” He steps in close again, wrapping his arms around his neck, “plus it kinda was your idea to actually go to dinner with them and me tonight. I personally think I could carry you and run fast enough they can’t catch us and make us go to dinner.”
He pauses a beat, leaning in to brush his lips against Dick’s before he flips the towel around his neck, up and over his head, covering his eyes and running off with a laugh.
By the time Dick has a chance to uncover his face and get out of the bathroom, Wally is already out there and getting dressed for dinner with Dick’s family.
“Hey yourself.” Dick laughed and shoved Wally back. “Don’t limit my emotions. I’m going to be worried at the same time as you if I want to.” He jokes as he feels Wally’s arms around his neck he shrugs. “I wanted to introduce my family to my boyfriend for real, I thought that’s what we both wanted. Tempting very tempting.”
Suddenly his eyes are covered with the towel. Wally is lucky that he is loved or Dick would be so mad right now. He runs after him and crashes into his partner’s back. “That was so harsh. You’re gonna pay for that later.” He smirks and flips back into their bedroom, choosing an outfit. “I think I’m going for a classic.” He came out ready to go in one of his favourite outfits. “Whatcha think?”
"So, on a scale of 1-10 how long did you wait before you called me? Because the traffic wasn't that bad from Gotham, Wally."

Jason’s eyes lit up at the memory. “Is that burger place still around you took me to that one time? With the ice cream machine behind the till?”
“Yeah, with glasses. I don’t know why people don’t see the difference, it’s not much of one.” He sighs and pat his future step-son’s arm as he pat the shoulder. “You want me to pick the place?” He was happy that Jason was being cool about it.
Thinking of options until Jason’s eyes popped up he nodded. “You still remember that? I can’t believe you still remember that. That was so fun Jayce. Is that weird or can I call you that?” He was one of the mose famous superheros ever, but being a step-dad yeah that was the scariest. “Let’s go. And then the concert! Woo.” He said not as confident as it sounded.
"Happy Birthday Jason, I got you two tickets to your favourite band, your Dad told me which one it was. You don't have to go with your Uncle Clark, I'll understand, just keep me posted if the seats are good or not. Maybe we could grab coffee when you're around Metropolis next?"
