Summary: the first four seasons after Sasuke’s return to Konoha

Summer comes too quickly to Konoha. It doesn’t take Naruto long at all to familiarize himself with the lines of Sasuke’s palm and declare his preference for them over the knuckles of his fist. For Naruto, reconciliation is a tactile endeavor—it involves his hands on Sasuke’s waist and his mouth on Sasuke’s mouth. It involves making up for lost time with interlaced fingers and mission recalls and layers and layers of noise suppression jutsus.
For Sasuke, the rebuilding of trust is a more imaginative thing. As much as he enjoys Naruto’s methods, for him, reconciliation manifests in the subtle way that memory collides with desire.
