Realized I never actually shared my mask here! I don't really wear it much bc it doesn't fit right but I think I know how to fix it so....
I made this sometime like a year ago and I don't think I ever shared it. Didn't have the eye mesh stuff so there's none there. The nose is made of clay and painted--I'll probably redo that bc I don't like it. The rest is white felt, partially painted black. (The ear tips are another piece of felt, actually black this time, as well as a bit of pink felt for around the eyes) Knowing what I know now, I feel like I could make something infinitely better than this lol, but I don't have the materials.
My idea for fixing it was pretty much just--I have some of that high-density foam they use in fursuit heads and stuff, and I thought I could use that to pad the inside to make it fit right. They do that with 3d-printed fursuit head bases too. I uhh, might also try and remake the nose, add some lining around the eyes, maybe try to improve my gluing job overall as well. It's well glued everywhere except the cheek areas. There's also quite a bit of bulk felt around the nose, which is not helping with the fit.

I've talked before about how canine centric the nonhuman community is, but what also bothers me is how even the language is made to center canines. Terms like graymuzzle for example, or sometimes I'll hear about "alterhuman packs." (Are they? Or are they just wolf packs?) Hell, I've even heard that the term "shift" came from werewolf shapeshifting.
If I'm in this community long enough, I don't ever want to be called graymuzzle or be referred to with canine language, because I am not a canine in any way, shape, or form. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I do not want to be represented by canines. They're experiences are not universal.

how I made my digitigrade paws
You’ll need: foam, felt, high heels
Cut the heels off of the shoes (it was really difficult.) Ask a parent for help!
use foam to make to beans.
put masking tape on the heels, cut it in sections (left side, right side, front)
Peel the take off the heels then put them on felt of your choice.
trace them and cut them out
sew the pieces together
glue them onto the shoe
Use paint/an airbrush to shade and blend to make then look real
paint the bottom of the shoe and let dry
done!
