Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw have their own kit in this AU, Moonkit, who eventually grows into Moonshrike, but I have concidered having Redtail and Goldenflower become mates, and Tigerclaw be their surrogate father/donor since Redtail can't have his own kits, giving us Bramble and Tawny in this AU, and, possibly Mothwing and Hawkfrost. I'm not completely sure about it, but it's definitely a path I might take. Absolutely willing to hear other suggestions on how to bring those two into the AU.

How does starclan reacts to Spottedleaf's lies?

Super sorry for answering this so late, I've been super busy LMAO I try to answer asks as quickly as I can, so thank you for being so patient!

This will contain some spoilers for my fic, even if I might tweak some things before then, so know this is subject to some possible changes! It'll also contain some mild horror and themes of being watched, so fair warning!

It's nothing big at first, for a while she actually flies comfortably under the radar, the problem only really starts getting recognized by Starclan once they tell the clan the false prophecy, uncomfortably close to before whenever Spotted receives the 'Fire will save our clan' one, and gets worse once Yellowfang gets there and starts working alongside her. A lot of the plan hindered on the only other medicine cat around being her and her apprentice, so Yellowfang appearing threw a massive wrench in things. Yellowfang does agree not to reveal the fact she's faking her and Tigerclaw's prophecy, but can't promise she'll be able to keep her safe from everything that may come her way because of it.

She starts to avoid the night sky after that, doing her best to only go out during the day, or when the stars are hidden by clouds. But that doesn't always help her when she starts to feel watched near constantly. She's not exactly sure if it's a manifestation of guilt or Starclan themselves, at the time, but she starts to have dreams if not hallucinations of silent starclan cats, just... Watching as she tries to gather herbs. It's extremely rare for Starclan to decend from the sky, much less for no good reason. They don't tell you how dead and lightless an otherwise glittering Starclan cat's eyes can look when they stare at you so blankly. Nothing proves they're no longer alive more than that.

Yellowfang tries to comfort her through the days, but she out of anybody can tell it's starting to weigh on her- She does her best to make her feel a bit more secure, but having another cat with Starclan's gifts so nearby only makes things more unsettling.

Starclan is very different in this AU, being a lot more reserved and ominous, much closer to a coalescence of all the spirits of their ancestors that started having their lines between eachother smudged long ago. The clans have this image of ethereal starry passed family members who watch over them and keep them safe, but if you look deeper, there's something beneath the surface. They don't actively try to stop Spottedleaf, since this is likely a new type of crime, faking a prophecy not for power, but for something as simple and small as love, so instead they just judge. They know she knows they're watching her, and they plan to keep doing it until she dies, even if she tries to shut Starclan out of her mind later.

She does start trying to shut out Starclan once she realizes she's pregnant with Tigerclaw's kit. She knows the clan will see them as something special due to the prophecy that allowed them to be born 'within the code', and she doesn't need twice the stress with Starclan still lingering around her during the whole thing. Unfortunately, with her having such a strong connection with Starclan, and Tigerclaw having his own ties to it for wildly different reasons, their son ends up having a much, much higher connection than a majority of medicine cats do, even from a young age. Spotted isn't sure whether they passed it down to him, or if Starclan felt a bit sadistic and decided to play along for now, but for a while, the starry figures that stalk her through the forest seem to dissipate. She can't tell why, though, but she can feel in her bones that they'll be back for her.

Tigerclaw doesn't have a direct link with Starclan, but he does actually get his own glimpses of them, though his seem to be more based in malice. They've obviously never been too fond of him, and since Pinestar refused to kill him as a kit, they've let that demand go, but a lingering distaste for him never faded. He's been plagued with nightmares his entire life, but something about the ones he started getting once Starclan discovered their lie seemed to be less copy-paste with a few adjustments, and more personal. Deeper cutting and more unnerving. Ones he couldn't shake even with Spottedleaf at his side every night.

Mothwing x Crowfeather nonsense I drew a month ago because talking about them made me want to post them

Yeah! The vibe of this ghost Redtail made of smoke following Runningnose around the dark and swampy Shadowclan area hit different and was too interesting.

And I love the idea of Crowfeather just in general having a thing for Riverclan cats, especially since they're bulkier and long furred when he's a little twig of a guy. Crowfeather's his normal prickly self, and tends to complain about 90% of things, meanwhile Mothwing is more level-headed and kind, albiet still a bit cynical- I think they'd have interesting views on Starclan to share with eachother, with Mothwing's disconnect and loss of faith, and Crowfeather's experience with the journey not exactly being great. She can't fix him, but she can at least chill him out a bit and possibly give him a new outlook on religion. They're very sun and moon to me, I like imagining Mothwing as this huge Tigerstar sized curly golden tabby who shimmers in the sun, and Crowfeather being scrawny and only just barely taller than Squirrelflight who blends in with the shadows. Lots of fun opposite factors. Plus, I like including the idea of the Tiger kids all being fairly close knit, so him going to Tawny or Bramble on advice for how to woo their sister is funny LMAO Many thoughts, Crow would disappear into fur if they ever cuddled.

I have a whole AU where Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw end up faking a prophecy to be able to together, but that's 90% of what I talk about on here, so like. Rarer rarepairs of mine.

I have one AU where Runningnose is the only person who can see a smokey ghost Redtail after he dies and has to help him reveal the truth of his death to the clans, and on the way they end up falling in love.

And I've also become a little bit semi-ironically fond of this Crowfeather x Mothwing AU I thought up while in a state of late night delerium??

How does Firepaw/heart play into your au? Does he still have a crush on Spottedleaf?

He's still the main character energy orange cat we all know and love! I've considered actually making him a medicine cat apprentice instead of Cinder, especially because of his connection with Starclan in canon, but he just has so much warrior energy, so I'm still on the fence about it. Though I've thought about him training as a warrior, switching to a medicine cat, and then becoming leader being interesting. Give him as much experience as possible with all ranks the clan can have, while also properly harnessing his starclan connection. (Which could also cause issues for Spotted down the line and complicate things even more)

And I've thought about this a lot, because I personally didn't care for Fire's feelings for her but I think he'd have a small, one-sided crush on her. It'd fade pretty quickly, but I'd believe it if it's still there, albiet not as intense as in canon. Much less some weird devoted thing and more comedic teenage crush that he grows out of.

There's probably some silly antics with him being shocked that Tigerclaw's big evil scary self is by her side so often when they're not working, especially since him, Greypaw and Ravenpaw are always together, and Ravenpaw has a slight inside scoop on what's going on there. It's not like Spotted and Tiger aren't at least mildly mushy together on patrols, so Ravenpaw's probably got a hunch. Stupid apprentice shenanigans insue while Tiger kinda just sits there exhasperated at this former kittypet and his friends.

It's called the False Prophecy AU, and the baseline story around it is that Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw fake a prophecy to the clan to be able to be mates without being seen as breaking the code. Straight up lying about a sign from the ancestors in order to get together.

There are actually some minor worldbuilding changes that come with the AU, like changing the names of some of the first arc elders, family tree adjustments, Medicine cats being essentially the only cats who can contact Starclan directly other than extremely rare exceptions, and clear, starry nights being seen as sacred due to it being seen as time that Starclan is able to see them clearly. Cloudy, starless nights tend to make clan cats uneasy due to the lack of direct view of their ancestors above, and is when a majority of crimes and code-breaks are committed, in the hopes they can still get into Starclan.

I haven't read a majority of the prequel novellas or anything, so this is purely AU brainrot. Bear with me LMAO

Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw grew up together as childhood friends, with Spotted being a medicine cat apprentice from the start due to her love of healing and natural connection to Starclan, and Tiger being a warrior apprentice, unfortunately stuck with Thistleclaw as a mentor. With having such a rough training situation, he'd often linger in the medicine cat den in his free time or when he was injured, helping Spottedpaw and Featherwhisker with small tasks and keeping them company while he was cooling off from patrols. He's always thought of the medicine den as a type of sanctuary where he could be safe and rest, so it has a lot of positive associations with him, and he has a lot more knowledge of herbs and how to use them than most warriors do. Which is extremely helpful on the battlefield when a medicine cat isn't nearby.

Spottedleaf had always been a bit playful and sassy, even if she was still compassionate and kind. Her and Tigerclaw often bantered, and though as he grew, Thistleclaw molded him into being more and more aggressive, there's always been a base foundation of respect and care between the two. Even with Tigerclaw eventually growing to tower over her (Maine coon mix Tigerclaw has my heart), Spottedleaf has essentially been the only person who's been able to rein him in and knock some sense into him.

They had been secretly romantically involved for a while, but Spottedleaf and Tigerclaw had been planning to fake the prophecy for moons in advance of them putting their plan into action, only discussing the idea of it during the day, or whenever there were no stars in the sky at night, these two were serious serious. They end up presenting the prophecy to Bluestar using a ladybug and a cat's claw that were apparently tucked into her nest, and while she believes them, they decide to keep things secret from the clan in order to ease them into it, since compared to Riverclan and Shadowclan, Thunderclan's fairly traditional and. Some cats wouldn't be too happy about that.

I won't go too far in, since I don't want to outright spoil my fic, but some other happenings are:

Redtail not dying.

Due to Spottedleaf not being killed, both Yellowfang and Spottedleaf are medicine cats of Thunderclan, which. Complicates things a lot with her and Tigerclaw's plans, to say the absolute least. Though we get the fun three medicine cat dynamic once an apprentice comes in. Two different flavors of sass in mentors, nice aunt and grouchy grandma LMAO (Spotted does discreetly use Yellowfang's arrival as evidence of her and Tiger's prophecy with later events)

Spotted, Red, and Willow all just being super close and a tight knit family with their mom Rosetail

I've still been debating if I want to keep Cinderpaw as a medicine cat, but I've considered having a different cat be her apprentice- It's still definitely in development, but it's coming along slowly but surely!
