What Luck | Werewolf!Shawn Soulmate AU
A/N: So I was sick today and I have a splitting migraine but I had to get this out because I’d lose it if I didn’t. Anyway this probably sucks and is too rushed and shit but I don’t care.

Shawn and his mom moving in with you and your mom was possibly the best idea anyone had ever. First of all he was an alpha. A very big, very attractive, and very single alpha. Second of all you were an omega. A highly sought after werewolf, kind of adorable, very single omega. It just so happened the two of you would hit it off perfectly and you wouldn’t have to worry about finding the right one anymore because he was literally about to move in with you. What luck.
You had always grown up with just your mom. It was you and her against the world but when she got moved from a full time position at work to a part time one, the house became nearly impossible to afford. So your mom was faced with two options, move and find a small apartment or find someone to live with. The second option was a little off the table since her only sibling had half a dozen kids and she really didn’t want to have to squeeze into their already packed house. Getting an apartment was all good and fine in theory but finding one that was a two bedroom in a price range she could afford was nearly impossible.
When it seemed the only hope was to move into your aunt and uncle’s little chaos corner of the world, your mom got a phone call. Her best friend was moving back into town and she and her son were looking for a place to stay until she could get them an apartment. Of course this was perfect timing. Your house was plenty spacious for two more people and your mom could use the help. So two weeks later and you were helping Karen and her son who you hardly remembered as more than a brace faced dweeb that teased you about being so small, move into your house and that’s when your luck changed for the better.

Shawn is the alpha of your dreams. The mate of your dreams. The two of you grew up together until you were about twelve years old and his family moved away. Now he was back and in your english lit class and you are just the weird half breed with the wolf ears that no one paid attention to, and surely he wasn’t going to now that he was Mr. Popular.
You stare at him from across the lecture hall everyday, imagining what it would be like to have a mate like him. Remembering the crush you had on him when you were twelve. He stares at the pretty beta girl behind you everyday, looking right through you, and thinking nothing of you. Rinse and repeat week after week.
So it’s sort of a surprise the day that Shawn slips into the seat next to you and pulls his books out. You don’t say anything, just glance over and see him making himself comfortable. Going about your own business, you ready your notebook for notes and look to the front of the room where Mr. Daily is setting up his projector.
“Hey,” Shawn says softly and you startle a bit, not having expected him to speak to you.

A/N: Anyway i had a hot nurse today at my appointment and my brain sort of went to Shawn and yeah….hot nurse!shawn. So here’s some cute fluffy nurse!shawn. Please enjoy ♥
You’re sat in the waiting room of your dermatologist’s office, picking at something you dripped on your pants during lunch. It looks like dried ranch dressing. Probably is. The waiting room is too big, too clean, too modern, too warm. It’s too much everything. You hate it. It’s both modern and sterile. A uncomfortable mix for you. You look around at the other patients waiting to see the doctors. There three teen girls who has terrible acne and an older man who looks like he’s about to fall asleep. The TV plays the TLC channel and there is some show on about flea markets. You’re trying to get into it but you just can’t. It’s dumb and you’re too anxious about your appointment.
Ever since your aunt was diagnosed with skin cancer last year your mom has been on your case about getting a skin check. From a young age you had a lot of little moles all over your body and you never thought anything about them. Until your aunt was diagnosed and went through treatment for a misshapen mole on her thigh. It was awful but they got it taken care of. You didn’t want to possibly have something like that happen to you, but the thought of having someone see you basically naked and inspect you was almost as bad. It had been a month since your mom started harping on you about getting a check and every time you would find some excuse. But then you noticed the mole under your arm looked a little larger than normal and maybe a little darker? You decided it was time to suck it up and get checked.
So here you are, in this office waiting to be called back. You wish they would just hurry up already. Two nurses had already called two of the other girls back. Surely you would be next. As if on cue the doors to the back offices opens and a tall guy walks out in black scrubs and talks to the receptionist for a moment. You look up at the sound of the door opening and you swallow thickly. The guy standing chatting with the nurse was drop dead gorgeous, you were across the room and you could see just how fine he was. A well trained body and a head of thick messy wavy brown hair, he was like a dream come true. Suddenly you were hoping you weren’t next. Please not yet. Not with him.

Monday. The first day of study group for the week. You’re driving towards Shawn’s house and making your way through the community he lives in. It’s raining, cold and windy, over all a crappy day. Study group was weird now anyways. It wasn’t even a group anymore. It was just you and Shawn. Brian and Caiti stopped going and Brian dropped out of school all together. You’re not sure why you still go. It doesn’t help you understand the source material. You still get middle mark grades, occasionally you get an 85 or higher but never in math or history. The learning just doesn’t click and you hate school.
But you do actually know why you still go. You like Shawn and you have a bit of a crush on him. He’s not your usual type, and he’s pretty dorky. Honestly you’re sure you’ve never seen him not in a jacket or cardigan over some printed tee and dad jeans. Just there was something about him that was so genuine and his face was so sweet, you can’t help but feel attracted.
