the more I read about fascism the less I’m interested in it as a framework for analysing politics and history. the first thing I read on the subject was Discourse on Colonialism and honestly Cesaire still has the final word on it. like how do you read “Hitler resides within the heart of every European” and not immediately wonder if the fascism label holds any analytic value at all
