Fanfiction- ONS- Ferid's past

The middle age is an extremely dark chapter in history. An epoch of persecution, extreme violence, inequality, superstition and numerous dangerous epidemics. In order to get a closer look, we make a journey in the early Middle Ages .

It's the year 1024. At the moment we are in Hungary, more precisely in the capital Esztergom, where was once a kingdom... Now we will walk together in the footsteps of the past and take a closer look at the events. What once happened at Burg Castle? Who were the rulers and under what conditions did the town dwellers live there? The story revolves around this and much more. It is Ferid Bathory, the main character, who will be the main theme He and his extremely tragic life story . Let's begin....

Prologue

15th.september 1024

It was the beginning of a new day in autumn.

The first rays of sunshine shone on the city as the sun continued to emerge.. More and more leafs are falling from the trees, which also changed color from green to yellow or to another color according to the season. However, the residents of the tall city did not have time to take care of it.

The people went straight to work. Even in this small hours , the narrow streets were noisy: the tanners got to work, peasants came from far away with their families to free themselves from serfdom (whether with the permission of their feudal lords or not, we don' t know) or to start a new, better life here, children helped their parents at work or played together, a blacksmith just yelled at his apprentice (he probably didn't do his job as expected) and so on and so on away. Now let's take our eyes off the citizens and onto the kingdom. There was also an exciting atmosphere there - Chieftain Dániel and Benicna Árpáden, the parents of Queen Ágnes Báthory came to visit from Budapest to look at the conditions.

Meanwhile, the preparations for the visits of the high nobility starts. The attendance at then would be expected at nicht whereby,the project focusses so much on those high ranking family members , that little Ferid was completely ignored by everyone today. One after the other pushed past him with all haste. Admittedly, it is on the one hand a type of

relief for him . You will now ask why: The only reason why he gets "attention " is because he will be used as a backspawn in the kingdom. Every trifle can be a cause of being punished in a horrible way.Especially , if it' s about him. Quich- wittedly , he observes the occurrence. Who are the people, who causes this revolt? His parents told him that they should be their grand parents, but he saw them never before , certainly he heard his mother sometimes talk about her , however not really thrilled, but rather with lack of interest in her voice. While continuing standing in the royal court and pondering, someone tapped suddenly on his shoulder, provided that Ferid cringed in fear. He was so much lost in thought, he didn' t notice the person next to him: It was

Dorina, his sister, who was one year younger than him. To be exact: she is five years old .
