He'd been away from Mondstadt for a while on the trip with Amber and Captain Eula. When he first got back, he'd checked in with his parents. They didn't particularly worry about him because they knew how capable he was, but it still felt right to make sure his family knew he was in one piece.
With that done, he rested for a couple hours before setting off into town. Stevie was known to wander and during the day, it was hard to really know where she'd be. Luckily for him, he found her pretty easily, sitting at the fountain.
He gave her a smile when she spotted him and walked over, then took his hands.
"I'm back," he said with a laugh. "You didn't get into trouble while I was gone, did you?"

He's out camping now that the day's activities are over. There were offers of putting him up at the nearby inn while he was here, but he's honestly a lot more comfortable out here.

He'd nearly zoned-out when she finally spoke. At the comment, he felt even more embarrassed. They were dating, weren't they? Why was it so hard to show affection like kissing?
Still, he leaned back up, catching her lips in a kiss that lasted only a few seconds.
"S-sorry," he said with a nervous laugh. "I guess we're both still figuring this out, huh?"
A breathy giggle escaped at his admission. At least they were both somewhat distracted and it wasn't just her. "I'm glad I'm not the only one, Mika."
As he leaned against her she reached up to run her fingers through his hair, more absently touching than anything intentional. It felt nice to be here so close to him, warm and almost addicting. When she did speak it was several quiet minutes later and triggered another blush. "Um...you can kiss me again if you'd like."

"Yeah, I... can't remember, either." All he could think about was the pleasant tingling sensation he still felt.
Finally, he very carefully leaned against her shoulder, a smile on his lips. He seemed quite content there.
"Oh...um..." She scrambled for a moment to collect her thoughts. It was harder than usual considering she was far more focused on how close he still was. Finally she smiled shyly, her cheeks flushed. "Sorry, I...um...can't remember."
She cleared her throat, the color in her face darkening. It might have been hard but the truth would come out sometime. "I think I'm...um... distracted by how kissing you feels."

For some reason, he didn't even pause at the kiss. Instead he leaned closer to Stevie, kissing her back for several moments.
When the kiss ended, however, his cheeks were lightly pink.
"...um, what was I saying?"

They had been just chatting after his birthday dinner, simply enjoying the company of one another in comfort. All seemed well until he had turned abruptly to face her, leaving them closer than either expected.
In that brief moment of time Stevie didn't really pause to think. Instead she leaned forward to press her lips against Mika's in a far firmer kiss than they usually shared.

"...are you sure?" Still, he hugs her back. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Or maybe it was because he grew up with only an older brother as his example so he still didn't actually know it was okay to hug people you cared about.
A look of surprise crossed Kira's face, not because of the request itself but merely the fact that he was asking. Mika was such a sweetheart...but sometimes, he worried a bit too much. So, that's why Kira smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "Of course you can hug me~ You never need to ask me for permission when it's something harmless like that, Mika~"

For some reason he was still surprised whenever she kissed him- he knew he shouldn't have been, but...
"Uh, yeah, I'll be okay. I won't be alone out there this time so..." He wasn't sure what else to say, so he just waved to her before turning and speed walking away. Smooth.
She nodded with another smile. "Yes. I like to spend whatever time I can with you." She hesitated for a moment before moving forward just enough to brush her lips against his in the lightest of kisses, as soft as a butterfly's landing.
Flushing she pulled back. "Be careful, okay?" He was capable but even the most talented could find themselves in danger. "I'll see you tonight."
