Moby pauses, dozens and dozens of teeth bared behind him and dribbling with slime. Both arms raised high above his head, prepared to give him a fright as she came out from the wall, body an amorphous mass of black and teeth. She’s frozen when he detects her without so much as a peek at her form. How ANNOYING. She’d get him one day soon.

“Y͎̣̮̘o̙u̗̲̜͇̦'̼r̝̜̣e͙̜̱͇̺͔̰̹ ̮̙̺̘̪̤̯̟̦n͙̠͔̣͕̼ͅo̺͇̣͓̮̣t̝̼̺̺̖ ̫̗̭̗̮ͅa͉̣̗̻̪̼ͅn̥̖̬̦̼̩͎̻y͇͓̞̟͉̼͎̱ ̙̜̜̦̭f̘̰̥̯̝̝̰u̹n̩̮.” It’s a collection of voices from all different skins, gurgling from the mass until she’s shrinking back into her own, naked skin. With a huff, she’s grabbing one of his coats to wrap herself up. “What is it? My scent? S’ gotta be something tipping you off. I was quiet.”

Moby looked down, gaze falling on the short, jagged line draped an inch across her side. “My uncle Jack was showing me how to deflect someone with a knife. I slipped up that time and missed. I didn’t heal as well back then.”

' caress ' + hair

Eyes flitted open at the sensation of something filing through her hair. Knowing she had gone to sleep inside the safety of a friend’s apartment had her keeping from waking in a storm of self defense. Instead she blinked sleepily, thoughts whirring together in some attempt to make coherent sense as eyes followed the hand caressing her hair to their owner. Blue gaze locked with Eli’s only for a moment in a contemplative haze before she closed her eyes, fist rolled up in the blanket rising higher to cover her face as she snuggled deeper into the sofa arm. Not once did she attempt to brush off his hand, deciding in the end to sleep in the company of the comfort it provided her.
