ooc: one of the brilliant things about cats 1998 is that they took performers from multiple productions to create an ultimate production but on top of that all these performers are so dedicated and love the show that you can see that in their performance. they had like three weeks of rehearsal together, and from the movie you would think they had been performing together for years. its so beautiful

ooc: so im watching trailers for cats 2019 but with 1998 footage and two things im noticing they revealed macavity which i think is a huge mistake (granted how they portrayed in 2019 is a fucking travesty but thats another post) because he loses all of what made hims scary and that is you don’t know what to expect from him.
second in using 1998 footage you really see that the show is an ensemble show more than a show that can be stunt cast like what they did with the movie, and its kind of a shame that they took an amazing ensemble show and totally ruined it.

ooc: this is a screenshot from cats 2019 ( its from a video compare 98 to 2019) and like WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THIS CUTAWAY IN SKIMBLE you can barely see the damn ass actors because the director has no idea what proportions are NOT TO MENTION you can’t see the damn dancing. sorry. i just this is one of the scenes that super irked me from a film perspective
