Thank you so much for your feedback! I'll be approaching this in a way that is hopefully satisfactory for all: - The tag will be #requiem on this blog. (The working title of the fanfic is "The Requiem for Simon Belmont".) I've added the tag to posts that need them. - I will try not to post spoilers until it's published, but anything I am eager to share will go under a cut with a spoiler warning. I'll also use the tag #requiem spoilers. - I will also have a separate blog as an archive for ideas and works I've settled on for the final piece. (Character appearance reference sheets, comics, stuff like that.) You can find that blog at @therequiemforsimonbelmont. I'll likely cross-post from this blog to that one, but not the other way around.

Fanfic context: I am currently working on a fanfic which takes the reader through my interpretation of the events of pre-Castlevania 1 until post-Castlevania 2 (with some nods to Haunted Castle mixed in). The story focuses on Simon Belmont and takes you through his life. There will be three endings to choose from.

Anatomy practice under the cut. (Surprising no one, it's Simon)

Trying to settle on a design for Simon when he's on his quest for my CV2 fanfic. I've talked about his appearance in another post, but I haven't decided on his armor yet. More details under the cut if it interests you.

I really like the idea of his entire body being covered up (to hide his sickness while also providing additional protection and keeping his rotting body together in a literal sense), so he's still got the black bodysuit from CV2. Hands are covered as well. Not pictured, but he does wear a cloak of some kind when not in combat.

There's a barrier of fur between hard pieces of armor--like the vambraces, shoulder pauldrons, breastplate, etc. Undecided if the armor will be metal like in CV2 or just hard leather for mobility/comfort. (By this point he's weaker than he was for CV1.)

Lots of belts to hold things like vials of holy water. I forgot to add where he keeps his axe, too, but it'll be at his hip opposite of the whip.

I may add a headband in true classic Simon fashion. Undecided.

Simon: —come now, they needn’t know that much detail… Selena: Be more specific with your replies and I won’t have to elaborate, my husband.

This may be a little too spicy for some (Simon's shirtless, which I suppose isn't too unusual because I struggle to draw clothes and often omit them lmao) so it's under the cut. Tagging in an abundance of caution.
