Here I would like to open a discussion. Yixing posted a biased view. I hope you all can help reblog this spread the other side of the story.
I am not here to bash his values talents hard work personality. This is a political mass manipulation situation, something much bigger than ‘fan wars/ kpop c pop idols matters’
This post has elements: shame on Hong Kong protesters for their violence, ignore the core purpose of the protest, support Hong Kong police, and the message it gives is that Hong Kong is part of China and should obey them. (protest is ongoing to go against passing a policy that is pro-china communists)
Firstly, protesters are NOW mad at Hong Kong police force and Hong Kong governmennt, NOT the china government. The campaign where many idols are using is ‘Hong Kong is part of China’.
YES HK IS PART OF CHINA, but the contract is ONE COUNTRY TWO SYSTEMS for 50 years after 1997. HK is not asking for independence. Yixing’s post already mislead the mass because HK protest does not directly go against China, protest is against HK’s own police and government system.
I am here to clarify, Hong Kong protesters primarily are not rioters. They did not inflict violence for fun or on innocent citizens and more harm has been inflicted on protesters AND even innocent citizens due to Hong Kong Police force’s irresponsible AND undisciplined use of weapons.
There are rules and regulations for all defence arms police utilize to endure the safety for police AND all citizen. But the police has demonstrated unreasonable use of that and took everything too far.
- 2 million people walked the streets in a peaceful manner. A group of people surrounded a government building, shouted slogan, and pushed a few fence (didn’t break glass or anything) yet the government ignored all our voices and labelled the event as Riot.
- Hong Kong Police are now under very serious speculation of collaborating with Hong Kong triads to spread terrors against citizens. There was an indiscriminate terror beating attack of protesters AND innocent commuters in a train station. Videos of mob members CHASING after politically neutral reporters and a PREGNANT LADY was filmed. Police stationed not far away DID NOT ARRIVE until 45 minutes after the incidence. Some police also by-stood near the scene. They closed the gate enclosing the mob with the innocent and stopped the train. The police did not apologize and only claimed they were 'inefficient’
and it is actually common knowledge for generations that police force communicate and have ties with HK triads to strike a balance in the society.

- Hong Kong police raised a girl into the air, stripped her pants and causing her underwear to show and used sexist and humiliating language to insult her.
- police caused a girl to lose permanent vision of one eye. she was NOT at the front line inflicting violence at that time.
- police were caught by the press for disguising as protesters, started chaos e.g throwing bricks to frame the protesters. So they can freely arrest any protesters using that excuse. (protesters attire: helmet black clothes masks, and you see the pic those protesters looking people are putting real protesters to the ground.
- Police were filmed putting a wooden stick weapon into a protesters bag to frame him. The protester begged 'reporters, please help me, the wooden stick is not mine’ the whole process was filmed. Police denied altho filmed.
- multiple tear gas bombs were released indoor at a train station This will bring serious biological damage to any citizen inside the station. Tear gas MUST NOT be released indoors as it can cause DEATH esp children and elderly. Tear gas also got thrown to an elderly home too before indoor incidence too.
- Police has used EXPIRED tear gas bombs against citizens which means the harm it does to the body doubles. This should be illegal and can cause DEATH.
- police has also fired tear gas bombs to the press and first aid team before.
- Medical staff also demonstrated protest, because as medical professionals with their knowledge, they know these methods will cause serious injuries and even death to citizens. They labelled this as ‘police attempt murder’
- Pepper guns were shot multiple times at a distance less than 1 m away, and aimed at citizen’s head, EVEN when the citizens was amongst a crowd that is RUNNING AWAY, and not inflicting violence on the police force. Any non bullet guns should not aim at the head.
- gang beatings are witnessed to protesters who has surrendered to arrest and begged for police to stop. Has front teeth has been knocked out, he shouted sorry, accepted the arrest yet this still happened.

- HK police even went as far as arresting a kid who bought laser pointers commonly used for stargazin and accused him of purchasing weapons against police. The laser won’t cause blindness and it is a leal item to buy in HK

I am NOT saying protesters’ violence should be accepted and the police 100% to blame. But IT HURTS WHEN yixing convinces his fans on ig, an international social platform to blindly support
POLICE FORCE that frames its own citizens of violence / allow triads to brutally beat innocent citizens up, then refuse to form an investigation committee or apologize / disguise as protesters to cause violence and conflicts / use irregulated and even illegal dangerous methods that can cause death / engage in acts of humiliation, gang beatings of unarmed protesters
then put all the blames for the unpeace in HK on the protesters.

i am NOT angry or hating on yixing. As a chinese, I understand he must post what he did because CHINA COMMUNISM CONSPIRACIES ARE REAL. they can destroy anyone’s careers and lives using corrupted method and propaganda if anyone doesn’t obey or show support to their ideals. Thats why hk idols who develop their careers in china are all supporting anti HK protest campaign, to manipulate the masses.
Please I want to provide the other side of the story because fans always eat things up without researching.

Ugh that post has gotten me thinking about fat acceptance in a way I haven’t in years. I’ve read more studies about weight and health than probably any other topic I’ve ever researched. And every time I see someone wail about health I am just like
Did you know that in post-mortem examinations there is zero correlation between weight and levels of arteriosclerosis and related diseases found?
Did you know that people with an overweight BMI have the longest life expectancy, that those with an “ideal” and an “obese” have about the same life expectancy, and that being “underweight” raises mortality rates more than being “morbidly obese”?
Did you know that losing weight and then gaining it back is worse for your heart than remaining at the weight you started consistently?
Did you know that 95% of people who lose weight do gain it back, and there has never been a single documented weight loss program that has been demonstrated to keep the weight off for five years or more in the majority or even a significant minority of people? Like, telling people to lose weight isn’t much use if we don’t know HOW to make that happen.
Like I have read The Obesity Myth by Paul Campos and Rethinking Thin by Gina Kolata and Big Fat Lies by Glenn A Gaesser (Ph.D!) And Fat!So? and several other books that I don’t own and so don’t remember all of their names I spent like four years reading every single study coming out and looking at the methodology and noting which ones had huge holes or terrible methods and which didn’t (the holes were almost always in the pro-weight-loss studies) and like
Big Fat Lies has 27 pages of bibliography. 27 pages worth of scientific citation. The book content itself is only 197 pages. That’s a page of references for every 7 pages of book. Reading the book is just reference after reference and study after study. Most of these doctors (like Linda Bacon, author of Health at Every Size) started out the same way. They wanted to use the scientific method to find a real weight loss program or health solution that worked and could be proven to work, and so studied everything they could about weight and fitness only to find out that we didn’t need weight loss in the first place. That all the studies calling for it were lacking or nonexistent. That weight and underlying metabolic health have very little relation. That the history of our relationship with health and obesity has little basis in fact and a LOT of basis in capitalism, politics, and fashion. No, really, the association between weight and health was first proposed by insurance companies looking for ways to charge people more by claiming risk. They also charged tall and short people more. And people with different skin colors. When they got in trouble for charging people for things they had no control over and had no bearing on their health, they set out to prove that weight was controllable and that fat was unhealthy to make money.
These are also a lot of the same people who went on to invent the President’s fitness program, so if you went to public school you probably already hate them.
Anyway, if you want a place to start reading about the issue, this article is a pretty good launching pad.
