Startup express with Warrick from Tomorrow street
Warrick Cramer is the CEO of Vodafone’s global innovation centre ’Tomorrow Street’ based in Luxembourg. After receiving a Bachelor of Commerce and Masters of Marketing and Management in his home country of Australia, Warrick built numerous businesses from the ground-up in the automotive, mobile payment, and advertising industries.
As an entrepreneur, he faced many hurdles before finding success. He went through the journey of expanding his business in other markets all on his own. Inspired by his personal experience of lack of support and guidance as an entrepreneur, led him to form Tomorrow Street, an innovation centre in partnership between Vodafone and Technoport, giving later-stage tech companies access to international business by utilizing the power of Vodafone, its partners, and its customers. The Innovation Centre is the first of its kind aiming to cultivate cutting-edge innovations and ensure that both Vodafone and the Luxembourg community are at the forefront of the digital revolution.
For Warrick Cramer, success is all about doing something different that will enrich people’s lives. What drives him is giving back to the community and making a difference in the world.
Warrick will be departing Vodafone and returning to Melbourne and is happy to guide startups on the journey to success.

Dan from Silicon Beach Radio takes us to a strange destination
https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/presentation-skills-workshop-tickets-63853855601
This workshop is designed to elevate your communication skills so you can connect with your audience with confidence and clarity.
We provide an engaging, interactive and fun environment where you will gain the skills to bring out your most confident natural self - whether delivering a briefing, presentation, pitch or keynote speech.
Ever since Dan was a child he has been fascinated with the interconnections between people, language, ideas, and creativity.
Following these passions, he studied philosophy, literature and music performance, learned to cook at a professional level and then over the next 3 decades pursued careers in hospitality, retail, sales and marketing.
In 2017 he knew it was time to weave his skills with those of his wife, Linda, who has over 3 decades experience as an actor and corporate trainer.
Simpateco was borne of their passion for communication and creativity with the mission of helping people to communicate their purpose clearly and powerfully, integrating both content and context.
In our content-filled world the ability to make a meaningful connection with your audience is vital in all communications. Whether collaborating with startups, small businesses, corporates or tertiary institutions, the fundamental challenge is to make big ideas simple and relatable and to connect with the audience.
Dan is also an organizer with Melbourne Silicon Beach and enjoys connecting like-minded people to grow and strengthen the local startup community. It was at a Melbourne Silicon Beach pitch night back in 2017 where he first started to see the potential to help the startup community with communication and soft skills.
In his spare time, Dan can be found cooking, playing guitar, reading or hanging out with Linda and their dog, Missy.

Bringing with me, experience, and interests in a wide range of topics such as politics, music, computers/electronics, faith, and general trivia.
And although I've been working in IT for the last 20ish years to pay the bills, I've had quite a few side gigs to nurture these other interests. I've run community organizations both large and small, started a podcast with a friend, managed artists/bands as well as provide mirth and merriment to those around me.

Athula Bogoda - Lead Organiser, Melbourne Silicon Beach Athula joined Melbourne Silicon Beach (MSB) in late 2012 to find his tribe. He was planning to launch a startup - Mettha. But he listened to too many professionals - psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors and even tech people, marketers, and investors who said it would never work. So he abandoned the idea and began leading MSB with Cullen’s help in early 2014 when it was a small community of around 1,500 members. In 2015 he helped Cullen start Silicon Beach Radio.
Alex Malman Hey there, I’m Alex, member of Silicon Beach OZ
I currently work in property management and work closely with an architecture firm. My background is in construction, community services, and small business. I believe everyone brings knowledge, talent, and dreams with them everywhere they go.
Yet by and large, we fail to listen and explore the opportunities. It has been great to become immersed in the start-up community in Melbourne and have the chance to meet passionate entrepreneurs and founders.

Join Chris Davis the Director of Operations at The Van Diemen Project
Chris is a sixth-generation Tasmanian, he can now probably be considered a local. Listen in on one of our sponsors podcasts EATT Magazine https://eattmag.com/tag/education/ on the podcast at 30000 feet with Jetstar and a flight into Artificial Intelligence Managing businesses and leading teams is something Chris has done all of his working life. He loves nothing more than seeing individuals and businesses succeed. He has been in the Startup and small business consulting space since 2008, bringing his unique knowledge of the Tasmania business landscape to sme’s across the state. A long-time supporter of innovation and start-ups, Chris was the first non-founding Board member of Startup Tasmania. Chris founded Cowork Launceston in 2012 so that small businesses and remote workers could have a central place to work, in a better quality facility than any of the businesses/individuals could afford by themselves. He believes that working in a collaborative environment businesses and individuals achieve more. Chris co-founded the Van Diemen Project with other Coworkers. The Van Diemen Project was recognised as Tasmania’s most innovative startup in 2016. In a very short period of time the Van Diemen Project has grown to a team of five and this year it will commence Tasmania’s first business accelerator. One of the few accelerators in Australia, open to businesses from all sectors, i.e. not just tech; and probably the only accelerator to accept businesses from any stage in their life cycle. The Van Diemen Project has plans to adapt its accelerator program to suit incubation. With ambitions to provide the program in small clusters across Tasmania. As well working with the Van Diemen Project and Cowork Launceston, he is a Board Member on a couple of community service organisations. In his spare time, Chris occupies himself on his two and half acre property on the outskirts of Launceston. With two cows, a calf, a dog, four chooks, a cat a goldfish, twenty plus fruit trees and a vegie garden, there is always something for him to do on the ‘farm’. http://www.vandiemenproject.com.au/ Facebook: www.facebook.com/VanDiemenProject/ Use our free access link to to access your class all you have to do is create a free Skillshare account by entering your email address or connecting through Facebook – and there is no need to enter any credit card information. Adam Mostogl joins us from The Van Diemen Project in Launceston, Tasmania
Van Diemen Project Adam Mostogl is the Executive Director of the Van Diemen Project, which was recently announced as Tasmania’s Most Innovative Startup. Listen in on one of our sposors podcasts EATT Magazine https://eattmag.com/tag/education/ on the podcast at 30000 feet with Jetstar and a flight into Artificial Intelligence The Van Diemen Project is focused on empowering Tasmanian businesses and entrepreneurs to do great things globally and practically supports the community to see self-employment and entrepreneurship as an employment possibility, business advice and mentoring, short intensive courses as well as being Tasmania’s first business accelerator and incubator. Adam’s passion for strategy, education, digital marketing and low-capital start-ups are all explored through the Van Diemen Project, especially as Adam looks beyond what the business does to influence the entire region. This has seen Adam become a director of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce as well as the director supporting start-ups, innovation and entrepreneurship for Northern Tasmanian Development Corporation (a regional government organisation that covers one of the three regions of Tasmania). While The Van Diemen Project was founded in 2016, Adam has had a passion in the area of supporting entrepreneurs for a number of years, which included him being announced as the 2015 Tasmanian Young Australian of the Year (and finalist for Young Australian of the Year) for his passions in entrepreneurship, education and community development. He was also given an honourable mention (and was the only Tasmanian) in the 30under30 list for young Australian entrepreneurs for 2015. Currently based in Tasmania with his wife Jessi and son Timothy, Adam is heavily involved in the local community too, often caught volunteering time to help community organisations to be bigger and better and to help all Tasmanians dream. Living by his motto that “if you want something done for the community, you need to get out and do it”, Adam inspires young people to realise their potential, unleash their creativity and seize the opportunities, because, as he says, “the world is ready”.
