The doctor continued to work on Peter, taking the blood just like he had agreed to. Once they were finished, Dr. Osborne came back to Peter with a mischievous smile. “See that wasn’t so bad was it?” he asked. “Let us finish working some things out and we’ll get you back to your girl.”

“Mm…” Peter groaned. He began to look around, searching, studying the room they were being held in. It was dark, so his eyes didn’t take much time to adjust, even with the migraine currently hammering his head. He quickly noticed small windows towards the ceiling, causing him to assume that they were in a room mostly underground. They didn’t do them any good though. They were barred and otherwise too small to fit through.
“I am not sure. I just remember everything going black, then waking up here,” he finally explained.

MJ smiled at Morgan before she took off out the door. She took one last look at herself in the mirror and let out a deep breath that she hadn’t realized she was holding in. It wasn’t that she was nervous to marry Peter. She couldn’t wait for that. She never thought that she’d actually get to marry the man of her dreams. She was nervous about going out there in front of everybody, even though they were having a relatively small wedding. “Everything will be fine,” she said quietly to herself and then took her position.
After a few moments, the music changed and the pastor had everyone stand as the bride came down the aisle. Peter was shocked when he saw MJ. He would have never thought that she could get prettier until this moment. She awkwardly smiled as she walked down the aisle with the flowers in her hand. She made no eye contact with anyone, but kept her eyes on her groom waiting for her at the front of the church.
Wedding and flower girls
Morgan sat in the living room, across from Peter and MJ. Peter was supposed to look after her, but certain things came up, so he had to leave early and asked MJ to look after Morgan instead. Peter had already visited the Stark house many times and had often looked after Morgan, but she didn't know MJ very well yet.
She had seen MJ with Peter from time to time and Peter had often talked about her, so the little girl was curious to get to know this so-called MJ better.
Peter had just left the house with a quick thank you, leaving Morgan and MJ alone as Morgan watched him walk through the door before looking back to MJ.
Then Morgan tilted her head and looked at MJ with wide, curious eyes. "Are you Peter's girlfriend?" Morgan asked bluntly in her childish naivety.

Knowing that Scott was going to find a way to get them checked by a doctor either way, they both nodded in agreement. At that Scott went to make the call, and MJ turned to Peter to make sure he was okay. She could tell that he was exhausted but relieved that both of them were all right. “Hey why don’t you sleep until she gets here…?” MJ suggested. “We’ll make sure your mask is on.”
Peter nodded without any argument and was asleep within seconds. MJ sat down next to the bed on the floor. She grabbed Peter’s hand and laid her head down on the bed and was also asleep relatively quickly.
MJ came walking out of the dark alley. She wasn’t sure where to go or who she could trust. The only thing she had going for her was that she at least now knew where she was. Looking down the street to see if anywhere was still open because it was so late at night, she saw the lights were still on at the The Drama Book Shop. She had spent a lot of time in there and at least she could go in and regroup.
She slowly began walking towards the open shop but was struggling to keep herself going. The gash on her forehead was turning into a bruise but had caused her to lose a good amount of blood which made her slightly woozy. All she wanted to do was collapse in a ball and sleep but Peter needed her…and she needed him.
When she walked in the door, there was no one in sight. She read the sign right inside the door and saw that there had been a Scott Lang book signing that had ended a little over an hour ago. Again, she looked around but still there was no one to ask for help. MJ made her way over to the check out counter looking to see if they had a phone she could use to call for help, but who did she have to call?
Scott stretched out his back and arms before he collected his things from the back room of the bookstore. What a day. He loved it all though. It’s weird for him to receive such attention, but he would never get enough of seeing kids dressed up as Ant-Man with bright eyes and big grins when they meet him at book signings.
It was one of the sweetest feelings in the entire world.
He grinned softly to himself at the memory of each kiddo in line to see him as he headed toward the main entrance of the store. He felt like a walk back to his hotel was in order. He’d been sitting too long; he needed to stretch his legs.
That’s when he saw the young woman at the checkout counter. She didn’t seem to notice him at first, but he noticed the gash on her head. Instinct kicked in then, and he rushed over to her. “Hey,” he greeted with urgency and concern, “hey, are you okay? What happened? We need to get you to the hospital.”
