Saturday I went to an Imgur party in Golden Gate Park. It was pretty cool. I got an imgur shirt and finagled a Grumpy Cat book as well :) My friend and I bounced in the bounce house for a bit which was much more cardiovascularly challenging than I was expecting. Now I'm reading my EMT textbook and it's pretty much all I've done all day besides taking breaks to watch my guilty pleasure shows. Gotta break up the monotony somehow!

You don't just hang out with someone for 2 months and then pull a fade. It's just wrong. Whatever happened to human decency? Yeah, I mean you Tony, YOU. Haha I feel like I only write about the shitty things in my life on here...let me think of some less crappy things to post about.

What I want to say but haven't actually said yet. Am I emo enough or what?

So this guy I'm currently "seeing" never really initiates a hangout with me...it seems I am always the one suggesting things. He just seems...indifferent about it. I really don't know what to do about it. I let a week pass by without suggesting any hangouts and it just came and went. I asked him about it later and he didn't seem to take notice at all. Meanwhile that week I was feeling extremely unwanted. I hate being the one to always tell him we should hang out because in a way it feels clingy. He had said we were going to go ice skating this week but...well this week is practically over and nothing's been set. Incredibly frustrating! I know most people use tumblr more like a twitter but I'm feeling like using it as an actual blog. What the hell am I supposed to do? I know I should probably just date other dudes but I freaking hate it.

This would be great if it didn't have the noodles. They are disgusting. The sauce and veggies are good- just get rid of those noodles...blech!

This week was perfection

So, today I decide to be social (not my usual thing) and go to a meetup where I don't really know anyone. Well, I get a bit of a slow start but finally I find a parking spot and I'm at the place. I go looking for the spot where we're supposed to be meeting (it was a fairly large outdoor space)...and I finally think I've found it! Success! Just then, I lose my footing in the mud and slide down, thus covering my whole lower right side in mud. If that wasn't bad enough, I try to get myself up and end up almost falling again. Some gentleman offers to help me and I accept even though I really don't want to (thankful but humiliating). A homeless man admonishes my attempt.

Now at this point, I kind of just want to give up and go home. However, I did travel across the bay for this...it took me at least 45 minutes in transit...so I go to the bathroom and see if the situation was salvageable. 

Huge long line at the bathroom...great. Well, I just walk in since I wasn't planning on using the stalls. I set myself up in a corner and realize I had brought my baby wipes (to use as hand wipes in case of eating) and those could be pretty useful. I start cleaning myself up. 

After 15 minutes of cleaning myself, with girls watching me (and I'm sure silently judging me) I decide that it was enough cleaning and that I would just suck it up. I head on over (a different way this time- not the muddy way) and after a little apprehension sit down with some people (one of whom I though I had met before). Everything after that went fine.

If this had been last year, I probably would have went home after the incident and wallowed in self pity. Instead I tried to just roll with it an laugh at myself and the situation. Shit happens!

First my date cancels on me right after I've already gotten ready...then I come home and the job app I've been working on is too late to be submitted :( ....they didn't even put a submit date!! arrrrgh
