I always hate it when people call Peter Three saving MJ him redeeming himself, because it’s not. He’s not at fault for Gwen’s death, he did everything he could to make her stay behind and Harry was the one that threw her into the clock tower. He had no part in either of those things. And from the way she was falling it would have been basically impossible to save her the way he saved Michelle. Maybe he was redeeming himself in his eyes, but in reality he didn’t need a redemption.

Has anybody else realized that when Gwen says it doesn't end well when Gwen Stacy falls in love with Spider-man, Miles was probably thinking she meant they break up or it's a one-sided thing, not that Gwen usually dies because how could he possibly know the multi-universal fate of Gwen Stacy? Alright have some Miguel headcanons from someone who read the comics and wants to apply some things to his movie self (I am aware his backstory will diverge somewhat)

Named his alt-universe daughter after his brother Gabriel (I think this is obvious though)

Former alcoholic, he stopped when he did the universe-hopping, then relapsed shortly after that universe was destroyed. He knew it would impede his efforts as leader so he set up prohibition of any alcoholic beverages within Spider Society.

Actively tries to not get too attached to any Spider-person after the whole incident. Hates close physical contact. He's afraid of fucking up again.

Truly cares about Mayday despite the above, you can see how he becomes stiff and avoids eye contact yet prevents her from falling in the movie. He cares about her, but again is afraid of screwing up since he did so badly last time.

Has pretty serious OCD that went untreated after the incident, excerberating his behavior later on and in the movie (I have OCD, and I can get like this too).

Barely sleeps. It's a miracle if he gets 4 hours in. Keeps himself awake with energy drinks and protein bars.

Has a sweet tooth he won't admit to anyone.

Makes casual suicide comments that makes other people uncomfortable.

Shockingly, isn't always a deeply bitter and angry person. Peter B calls him his friend and says he isn't that "scary" and genuinely looks terrified and in disbelief at Miguel's violent behavior in the movie.

Hates himself more than anyone else. Doesn't want therapy (even though he brought in a Spider-Therapist for others.)

Girl help my favorite morally complex and traumatized characters are being horrifically mischaracterized with little attention to no paid to the source material.

Just realized Miguel could have used his paralyzing venom bite on Miles to immobilize him the entire time but he did not.

And he did everything else so it's not like he simply did not think of it. He just didn't do that.
