Hello! Alice here! Here's a little snippet/showcase of a VERY rushed and VERY beta battle system for Passionstruck. After countless browsing for a good script, I found myself the Asan'Tear battle system which got me a decent result!!! Almost there!!!! :D
Some pros for this script are that I am LOVING the animated icons for the players, and you can see that in the video above. I wish I could make the background wavy and animated Earthbound-style, but I'm gonna have to find a separate script for that.
Some cons are that I really wish I could've had the player icons above. In my original sketches and plans, I had planned to format the party icons above the enemies. Though I could try to mess around with the script, I'm not sure I could be able to understand anything to make any visible change. RPGMaker XP is a VEEERRY old engine and the only one I got, so I'd either need to get someone whos good with RPGMaker code, buy a newer RPGMaker version, or switch engines entirely (I've considered Game Maker 2?? The Undertale one??), but that's a bit risky.
But I am not making the next Undertale or Earthbound; I'm far from that I'm afraid <:). My current goals are to release a demo, possibly a Kickstarter or a way to donate towards the game, and then start production on the full shebang. I know that the battle system will always be rough, and I'm totally okay with that. I'm trying to tell a story and give the world some silly characters to talk about. And we could never have too much silly characters in the world.
So that's all!!! I'll release full renders and heights of the protagonist party possibly tomorrow and I might talk about some lore in the next devlog!
Peace out!!! Dear lord it's like midnight for me already.

Everything is like “QUEER history” and “List of QUEER young adult books” or “Top 10 QUEER movies” and queer this and queer that and for the love of god please just say LGBT.
*firmly grabbing all beginner artists by the shoulders* you have to embrace inconsistency. inconsistency is good because it means you are learning. if you focus too hard on making all your art look the same you are really just holding yourself back and forcing yourself to make the same mistakes rather than develop and grow. style and consistency can come later on when your grasp on the fundamentals is stronger. now take this juice box and get out there and make some art.
Project sekai fandom I need you guys to understand that no
These cards are not sexualized those girls are literally just existing, the camera is just low. An is just leaning over a counter and Ena just has a cropped shirt.
Prsk is not a game to sexualize their characters because if they do they start losing part of their audience and need to up the rating like most other gacha rhythm games. Literally they dont even do it to Meiko/Luka/Kaito who are literally adults in the game.
Like even these two cards are just. Women with big chests existing, if those are "sexual" then a lot of girls are just by existing.
