hey guys! i’m done with exams and all that but i’m at the process of revamping/archiving this blog and debating whether i should get a multimuse or not, so right now my hiatus will be extended even further lol. at least until i can get a semblance of an idea what to do.

“   yeah ,   carnival .   ”     mustering  back  all  his  courage ,   he  asks .     “   have  you  ever  been  to  one ?   don’t  tell  me  you’ve  never  been .   ”

oh ,   mercury !   thank  you  for  this  speed .   for  because  of  it ,   this  boy  managed  to  out  run  a  couple  of  bastards  in  black .   these  armed  men  are  in  hot  pursuit  of  what  they  call  ‘ the  subject ’ .   the  wisdom  of  solomon  is  not  even  required  for  billy  to  deduce  these  men  as  the  bad  guys .  it  was  enough  to  see  the  subject  in  question  frantically  navigating  through  the  crowd ,   like  a  prey  being  chased  down  by  predator ,  to  avoid  them .

           yet  again ,  the  magic’s  champion  is  caught  in  a  war  he  probably  has  no  business  to  be  in !

“   it’s  okay .  it’s  okay !   i’m  NOT  with  them .   ”     billy’s  voice  is  urgent  yet  gentle .   this  person’s  eyes  reflect  all  the  hurt  and  fear .     “   why  are  they  after  you ?   ”

I hate making posts like these, and I hate asking for money, especially when I have a job, but things are a little tight right now. I get paid enough to cover my bills and take care of basic necessities like food and gas money, but there’s not much left over to put towards saving, which sucks when you’re in a bind.

Basically, what happened is I nicked a car while parking at the grocery store, exchanged information, and told the people to send me the estimate of their vehicle repairs and I could take care of it out of pocket. I’m trying to avoid using my insurance as much as possible because my rates are already high enough as it is and I don’t want to risk them getting higher or me being dropped by my insurance company, but as it stands, the bill estimate is at $750. It’s not completely unmanageable, but it’s a lot, and I know I’m not going to be able to take care of that out of pocket right this second, which is the tough part. I hate asking for donations, especially when people have it worse than I do, but I’m in a tough spot right now. My goal is to make up half the money ($375) through donations. I know it’s a long shot, but I’m gonna try anyway. As someone skilled in photoshop, I’ll be more than willing to supplement graphics/psds/etc. with donations. “   dude ,   ”     he  begins .     “   it’s  cool .   i  don’t  really  tell  anyone  anyway  ‘cause   it’s  just  another  day .   ”     a  quick  shrug  to  dismiss  the  slight  mistake ,   before  he  turns  his  attention  to  the  journal .

the  journal  he  knows  freddy  has  been  keeping  ever  since  he  told  him  of  his  powers .   it’s  disorganised  and  filled  with  childish  doodles  and  ineligible  handwriting ,   but  it’s  PROOF  of  their  brotherhood .   a  symbol  of  the  first  time  he  gives  a  chance  for  a  foster  home .

                  when  he  realises  that  family  is  not  what  it  should  be ,   it’s  what  it  can  be .

“   thanks ,  man .   ”     billy  takes  the  book  and  rubs  its  spine  gingerly .   he  gives  his  FIBLING  a  smile .     “   damn ,  right  it’s  going  to  hit  the  shelves .   then ,   we’re  going  to  be  rich  and  we’ll  get  that  house  on  the  cliff  and  move  everyone  there .   ”

ever so graceful, head lifts to meet the attention of the table’s personal waiter – placed aside for quick access to the woman’s needs.    ‘  a menu, please.  ’    ever so courteous with her smile. she’s quick to receive what she requested – tenderness dripping from lips as she mouths a soft thank you before returning attention to her company: her most beloved boys.     ‘  take a look,  ’    delicate fingers slide the menu into billy’s hands, cassian peeking over his – cheek pressed against his shoulder, wide eyed and eager to lend a helping hand.   

he  gives  a  courteous  nod  to  the  waiter .   just  when  he  think  he’s  grown  used  to  the  things  astrid’s  status  entails ,   something  new  will  pop  up  and  surprise  him  again .   a  personal  waiter ?   that  will  come  in  handy  for  the  family  whenever  they  go  to  diners .   at  least  eugene  and  darla  can  stop  waving  their  hands  frantically  to  get  a  waiter’s  attention .

as  he  flips  through  the  menu ,   his  eyes  keep  darting  back  and  forth  between  the  items  and  their  prices .   he  feels  chills  down  his  spine .   why  is  everything  so  expensive  here ?   20  dollars  for  a  brownie   ––––  and  this  brownie  is  topped  with  sea  salt ?   what  does  that  mean ?   why  would  you  sprinkle  salt  on  a  brownie ?

he  furrows  his  eyebrows  as  he  pries  his  gaze  off  the  menu .     “   uh ,   astrid ,   ”     he  mutters ,   not  even  able  to  look  her  in  the  eyes  as  he’s  given  a  reality  check  on  just  how  rich  she  is .     “   these  things  cost  a  lot  are  you  sure  it’s  fine ?   ”

in her hands she holds a box containing a single vanilla cupcake decorated in red frosting with yellow sprinkles, and an envelope containing a birthday card and three tickets to the upcoming phillies game. it's hard not to beam as she presents them. ' happy birthday, billy! '

he  doesn’t  know  why  he’s  so  surprised  at  her  coming  up  to  him  and  wishing  him  happy  birthday .   they’re  friends ,  sure ,   but  billy  is  always  under  the  impression  that   –––   more  than  anything  –––   he’s  a  pain  in  her  ass .   he  can’t  help  it ,   it’s  fun  to  get  a  rise  out  of  her ,   so  he  often  teases  her  just  for  the  sake  of  it .

            though ,   god  knows  what  will  happen  when  he  crosses  a  line .   he  should  learn  when  to  stop  before  he  loses  a  valuable  friend .

it  takes  him  a  moment  to  register  the  situation  before  a  genuine  smile  breaks  out .   it  flickers  for  a  moment  before  it  turns  into  an   annoying   smirk .     “   oh ,   kimmy .   i  knew  it .   you  do  care  for  me .   ”    he  chuckles .     “   no ,   seriously .   i  appreciate  it .   this is  wonderful .   i  can’t  wait  to  take  freddy  and  victor  to  the  game .   ”

quietly he sneaks into the room, freddy's head pops up but joey's target remains blissfully unaware. stepping carefully he avoids knocking over the items left strewn across the floor. he shares a conspiratory grin with feddy before he takes the leap, landing on top of the still sleeping billy before laughing and jumping up and down. ❛ waaaaake up billy! victor made birthday waffles! ❜ he breaks into a loud, off-key rendition of happy birthday. ( have joey being an asshole but caring lil bro )

with  his  assignments  all  submitted  and  his  chores  done ,   this  is  one  of  billy’s  best  slumber .   no  looming  deadlines  hanging  over  his  head ,   no  siblings  breathing  down  his  neck  over  unwashed  dishes    ––––––   so  he  wasn’t  annoyed  when  somebody  sneaks  into  his  room  and  wakes  him  up   (  unlike  his  usual  self .   he’d  fight  anyone  who  tries  to  wake  him  up  before  8 am  ) .

he  has  a  knowing  smile  as  he  looks  at  his  new  foster  sibling .   joey’s  settling  well  to  the  family .   as  always ,   rosa  and  victor  always  know  how  to  make  new  kids  feel  welcomed  to  their  home .   it’s  a  feat  that  would  be  impossible  without  their  warmth .

“   i’m  up ,  i’m  up !   ”     he  pushes  joey  off  of  him .     “   birthday  waffles ?   ”     it  takes  him  a  while  to  remember  that  it’s  his  own  birthday .   he  doesn’t  know  if  it’s  because  of  his  busy - ness   or  if  it’s  one  of  those  days  that  reminds  him  of  his  mom  )   that  always  gives  him  this  bouts  of  forgetfulness  whenever  the  day  arrives .

regardless ,   he  lets  out  a  laugh .    “  c’mon  then !   ”     he  gets  out  of  his  bed ,   patting  his  new  brother’s  back .     “   let’s  eat  it  before  it  gets  cold !   ”
