why are we still debating between best friend to lovers and enemies to lovers??
best friends to lovers is about longing and intimacy and the brush of hands and things left unsaid. it is contained and personal and a world were its just the two of them and everything else is background noise.
enemies to lovers is messy and rough and lots of yelling and a feeling so much it overflows. it is explosive and awe inspiring and two people who are about to punch each other realizing they want to kiss instead.
and if you asked me to chose between them i would just burst

Ok so, easily my favorite thing about the disparity between the book and movie of Howl’s Moving Castle is Howl’s fashion. Like, in the book, Sophie describes it as weird because he’s a time traveler/dimension hopper from our world’s 1980s. He didn’t dress like a bi pirate icon, he dressed like a bi, Welsh 80s icon, which would have been SO FUNNY in the movie. Imagine: 1800s fantasy land where Sophie the “old” witch goes into the wilderness to find a disaster scientist(??) sorcerer magicky man who wears cuffed jeans, striped rugby shirts and sneakers every goddamn day who also owns a fire demon and a moving castle… such a concept. Such a combination of aesthetic

Zuko finding out about the gaang’s shenanigans after joining them and vice versa is still the funniest thing to me and I think about it all the time
Zuko: where did you even find toph?
Sokka: oh we ran into her while she was a pro wrestling champion
Zuko: .. that twelve yr old blind girl was a what now??

Zuko: you said you tried firebending before? Who taught you?
Aang: this strange guy called jeong jeong who lived in a forest
Zuko, who grew up in the firenation and probably heard all about this man: THE DESERTER??
Aang: ya how’d you know??

Aang: you know what’s strange? Zhao seemed to just disappear after the north pole... I wonder what happened?
Zuko: oh he’s dead
Aang: w-what?
Zuko: yea. Watched him drown too. A big grabby hand got him and dragged him into the ocean

Aang: oh not much tbh, I went to school for like two days, Katara and I blew up a factory, we cleaned a river, Toph scammed a whole town, Katara learned bloodbending and I went to therapy
