I wouldn't be the person that I am today if it weren't for Xiao...I wouldn't be here at all, tbh. His story is the one I most relate to besides Scaramouche's in ways that help me cope with my trauma. Xiao is my dearest Yaksha. He is my everything. He means the world to me. Him being on my journey has been nothing but amazing and wholesome. I love him with all my heart. I will love him till the day I no longer exists in this world. I have struggled a lot, just trying to exist. And when I met Xiao, it was as if my whole world turned upside down in the best ways. I can't describe the love I have for him. I just really love him a lot. Beyond time and space. If I could, I would hug him. Tell him that he's so special to me and millions of other people. I'd shower him with love, gifts, affection, and more. I'd tell him that he's one of the best things that ever happened to me. That I wouldn't be here without him. He's my comfort and I always smile when I see him or hear his voice. He holds such a special place in my heart. I don't know what I would do without him.
So, happy birthday, Xiao. and may your next birthday be better than the last.

Fun fact: this piece is dedicated to a dream I had where a goddess asked me if I would like to look into Xiao's headspace/dreamscape. I saw the starry night and a galaxy full of stars. It was very beautiful. Also, I drew this with my finger only!

Children in Gaza can tell an F-16 from an F-35 from a drone. They know a whole litany of things that are beyond their years. Things that they shouldn’t have to know.
Over 10,000 children have been killed in Gaza.
The children who have survived have seen their families, friends and neighbors killed by the Israeli army. They have seen near-death by starvation and death by suffocation, under the rubble and by explosion.
Children in Gaza do not have the luxury of death being a mystery. It is a daily presence.
If a child in Gaza is hungry, they know not to throw a tantrum. They have become used to feeling hunger. The same is true of the cold. Every child in Gaza now knows what it is to be unhoused, to sleep in a tent or on the streets in winter.

Free Palestine - ceasefire now!
There is currently a strike for Palestine taking place from February 18th, 2024, to February 25th, 2024. During this time, I will only be posting about Palestine on this account and doing what I can to spread awareness. If you are able, I highly recommend participating in the strike in whatever way you are able - something is always better than nothing. Staying home from work and/or school, not buying anything that isn't strictly necessary, using your social media platforms only to boost posts about Palestine, etc., are all ways to help the efforts!
