Not a lot going on lately other than the fact that my new manicure is giving ✨🐍Slytherin🐍✨ even though I’m a Hufflepuff.

Today I finally went to this little vintage shop in the town over that I’ve been meaning to visit for ages. It’s filled with nostalgic late 90s items. So when I saw this Inspector Gadget pin I knew I’d hit the jackpot and needed to bring it home with me.
The store felt more like an experience than a store. Can’t wait to go back in hopes of snagging a Paul Frank T-shirt in my size!

Good morning, friends.
As I lay in bed and listen to the rain falling and my dog snoring, I’m wondering where the day will lead me. Do you ever feel like you have so many options of how to spend time and you simply still cannot choose? That’s me in a nutshell in this very moment.
The last few weekends have been filled with chaos. Running here and there and barely having a moment to pause and recharge. I’m noticing more how much these pockets of time mean to me and how having them impacts my overall wellbeing.
It’s so incredibly important to get out in the world and I love spending time with loved ones. But that comes at the price of having to run faster during the rate race week of the typical 9-5.
The pandemic came with so many awful complications and consequences and I think we can all agree that it’s arguably not over. But life looks so different again. Though it was disastrous, in some ways it yielded more time to rest. And I think the biggest factor was the ability to rest without guilt or when we felt like it wasn’t warranted.
It taught me that we need to treat ourselves with better care and attention. So while I may not know what I’m going to do today, I look forward to where the wind may blow and how I’ll choose to recharge my batteries.

I didn’t spend a lot of time on Tumblr this year. With writing being such a major part of my job, I didn’t feel compelled to practice as much in my personal time.
I found some journal prompts from @ thejournallife on Instagram and decided I would put some things down on pen and paper.
If you’re willing to share, I would love to know how 2023 went for you. Regardless of your experiences, I’m wishing you happiness, peace, and love.

16 years ago I started listening to a band called The Maine. Nearly 13 years later, I met my neighbour, Jess, and we became best friends. We also discovered that she, too, loves she Maine. Last night, I went to their show with my new bestie, her friend Carissa, my husband, my parents and my brother and sister in law. It’s wild to think that years ago we attended their other concerts not knowing one another. And here we are years later attending their latest show together.
The universe works in mysterious ways.

Sorry but this was not worth the hype! I loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and wanted to give this author another shot. But I just don’t get why people are so obsessed with this novel. If you’ve read it I would love to hear your thoughts.

Life is so incredibly fragile and can be so devastating. I’m taking some time to read the news and become more educated about the current conflicts. I will say that without a doubt hate crimes and terrorism is never tolerable.
If you’re struggling with these events, regardless of our relationship or lack there of, I’m always available to listen and offer support.
